Seven Golden Men

An internationally mixed team of high-profile heisters is brought together under Albert the Professor and his lover Giorgia to target the Swiss National Bank in Geneva. They plan a gold heist, with Albert directing the operation from a hotel room while Giorgia acts as a decoy and inside source. The goal is to steal six tons of gold from the bank's high-security vault.

Giorgia collects intelligence from inside the bank, aided by hidden cameras. The team uses the information to plan a precise entry with a homing device placed inside the vault and explanations gleaned from the bank manager. The plan hinges on misdirection and timing as the security system is bypassed.

The six men disguised as sanitation workers enter the bank complex through the sewer beneath the building. They coordinate with Albert from above and position themselves to access the vault without triggering alarms. Each man carries gadgets to aid the drill and silent approach.

The team drills into the vault, reaching directly under the bullion stack. They remove six tons of gold, leaving the outer layer intact to hide the theft. The operation appears perfectly executed, with security largely bypassed.

A radio ham intercepts the team's transmissions and alerts the police, triggering a pursuit. Interpol conducts a cursory check and largely dismisses the case after a quick vault inspection. The heist's alarms continue to be downplayed, allowing the team to proceed.

Giorgia lingers in the hotel suite with scant clothing, nearly drawing police attention. She charms the officers away, delaying any immediate repercussions for the team. The flirtation buys crucial time as the plan stays on track.

After the heist, Albert and Giorgia take a train while the others cross the border by car. The team separates to reduce checks and speed up transport of the gold. The diversion delays are intended to keep the operation hidden from authorities.

Despite the split, Albert refuses to share the spoils openly and his six companions are detained for possessing forged passports. The detentions threaten to derail the crew's plan and complicate the escape. The tension between reliance and betrayal grows as the group moves forward.

Giorgia reveals her affair with the bank manager and schemes to keep all the gold for herself. She betrays Albert by aligning with a rival plan, changing the leverage within the crew. The betrayal sets up a clash of loyalties as the heist begins to crumble.

Giorgia and the bank manager try to intercept the gold shipment, but they discover the cargo has already been transported and melted down at speed. The bank manager abandons Giorgia in disappointment. This turn nullifies Giorgia's plan.

Albert reveals a ruse by diverting the gold cargo to Rome and reconciling with Giorgia. He keeps the loot under his control while maintaining the partners’ relative positions. The reunion hints at a last-ditch plan to outmaneuver their ex-associates.

The released ex-associates track the hidden truck where the gold is stored. A tense pursuit tightens the net and forces a confrontation that could decide the crew’s fate. The tension escalates as eyes turn toward the stolen bullion.

The chase culminates in front of the Colosseum, where August accidentally disengages the handbrakes and the truck crashes, spilling bullions into the crowd. A crowd of greedy pedestrians gathers as the six men watch their plan collapse. The original heist is foiled and the Golden Men are forced to regroup.

With the plan foiled, the Golden Men reluctantly reunite and set their sights on a new target: the Commercial Bank of Italy. The crew contemplates a renewed attempt to loot a major Italian bank using lessons learned from the failed operation. The film closes with a resolve to try again.
