In Kochi, Kambilikkandam Jose negotiates a massive hike in his commission with Appichai Pilla. Appichai arrives accompanied by his foster son Sethu; upon Sethu's return from a Goa cruise, he kills Jose with the help of IG Balagopal. The murder triggers widespread protests across the state, and the Chief Minister orders a detailed investigation to uncover the truth behind the killing.

ACP Narendran 'Nari' is assigned to lead the investigation and immediately sets out to uncover the network behind the killing. Known for his aggressive, no-nonsense style, he begins by gathering witnesses and key documents. His aim is to get to the bottom of Jose's death and the larger drug operation at play.

Narendran questions Dr. Ratnakumari, the assistant surgeon who performed the postmortem, hoping for clarity on the injuries Jose sustained. He discovers marks of a physical attack that were not reported in the official findings. This discrepancy deepens the suspicion that the case was being covered up.

Narendran tries to contact Jose's family to piece together the sequence of events, but the family is found dead the next day. The troubling development suggests a wider conspiracy and literal attempts to silence potential witnesses. The investigation moves into dangerous territory as more suspects emerge.

The investigation reveals that Sethu operates from the Karunyadeepam ashram, running a drug cartel under the protection of Rema Behan. He also maintains an illegal business partnership with Jeevan, the Chief Minister's son and a powerful player in the state. This dual footprint ties the criminal underworld to political influence.

Narendran tracks down Rema Behan to question her, but she is found dead the following day. Her death removes a key link in the cartel's information chain and intensifies the pressure on the inquiry. The path forward becomes more perilous as the network fights back.

Facing opposition from Jeevan and other senior cops, Narendran is briefly discharged from the investigation. He then uses a video clip on Jeevan, supplied by Sethu, to blackmail the Chief Minister. Reluctantly, the CM sanctions Narendran to resume the investigation.

Narendran arrests Sethu after giving him 24 hours to reveal information about the drug network and Appichai's stake. The arrest marks a turning point in the investigation as the case moves from inquiry to direct confrontation. Sethu's captivity raises the stakes for everyone involved.

At a supposedly safe location, Helen's brothers arrive intending to kill Sethu. Narendran intervenes, killing the attackers to protect him. The violent interruption heightens the danger surrounding the investigation and underscores the cartel's merciless reach.

In a tense exchange, Sethu shoots Narendran in the arm while Narendran returns fire, wounding Sethu in the leg. Narendran also shoots the car hanging from the garage ceiling, bringing it down on Sethu's legs. The duel ends with Sethu immobilized and bleeding as the exit from the garage is made.

Narendran exits the garage with Shihabudden, Thomas, and Hamza as Sethu bleeds to death. The direct confrontation ends with Sethu's demise and the immediate threat subdued. The broader political-criminal nexus implied by the investigation remains unresolved.
