Detective Knight: Rogue

In Los Angeles, four masked criminals pull off a daring cash-truck heist, and as the dust settles the getaway spirals into a tense chase. After the police arrive, the robbers steal a car from a nearby lot, and Det. James Knight Bruce Willis and his partner, Fitz Lochlyn Munro, trade blows with the fugitives in a brutal burst of gunfire. The chaos ends with Fitz gravely wounded, and the crew slipping away in a private plane that carries them to New York City. The quartet is revealed to be Casey [Beau Mirchoff], the calculated leader; Mercer [Corey Large], the volatile hothead; Mike, Casey’s loyal friend; and Sykes [Keeya King], the brains of the operation.

In the neon glare of Manhattan, Casey’s personal life starts to fray under the weight of his choices. Casey’s wife confronts him about the troubling changes and his substance use, and he reassures her that he’ll address everything once he meets Winna—the shadowy NY-based shell-company owner who operates on the fringe of legitimacy. Winna assigns them a nearly impossible caper: steal a one-of-a-kind sports card from a high-security auction in the city. Casey informs Sykes and Mike of the plan, initially deeming Mercer untrustworthy for the job due to his temperament. Mike and Sykes agree to proceed, while Casey keeps his eye on Winna’s bigger picture.

Meanwhile, Det. Godwin Sango tracks Winna’s movements and delves into the network behind the heists. Winna refuses to cooperate, leaving Knight and Sango with little to go on. They press Brigga, Winna’s bodyguard, who drops a crucial clue: Casey’s name surfaces in connection with the operation. Knight and Sango pursue Casey and Mercer, yet without solid evidence they struggle to pin them down. Back in the city, Sango mulls a potential partnership with the NYPD chief, but jurisdiction battles and egos stall any cooperation, and the chief makes clear she doesn’t need help—at least for the moment.

As the threads unravel, Casey and his crew begin to uncover Knight’s past. They learn that Knight, a former NYPD officer, fatally shot Jerry Leach—an ex-con who killed Knight’s father when Knight was a child. Knight’s vengeful act was tied to Leach’s hideout, and Winna had once been Knight’s confidential informant. This revelation stirs a mix of respect and caution in Casey, who remains focused on the new heist rather than the old wounds.

With the plan in motion, Sykes is deployed to swipe the card during the auction. Winna, Casey, Mike, and Sykes converge at the venue, but an undercover cop spots Sykes. She escapes, yet the police close in as she retrieves the card and hands it over to Winna. The scene back on the floor thickens as Sango informs Knight that the card has vanished. Winna tries to leverage Knight by dragging in a personal debt, threatening Fitz’s life back in LA if Knight won’t bow to his will. Cornered, Knight concedes; Sango blasts Knight’s choice, arguing that the badge should demand more integrity.

The pressure mounts at the hideout when Mercer pushes Casey to rescue Sykes, yet Winna’s reach is clear: he controls the corridors of power, and he will pay off loose ends. A brutal assault follows: assassins storm the hideout and gun down Mike, forcing Casey to flee with his life on the line. The investigation intensifies as Sango realizes every clue points to a link between the criminals and former athletes, hinting at Winna’s manipulation of the system. Though Sango offers to join Knight to bring Winna down, Knight hesitates, torn between duty and the danger Winna represents.

As Halloween looms, a daring plan unfolds. Mercer heads to a bank to divert police attention while Casey infiltrates the police station to reclaim the card, but the gambit goes catastrophically wrong—Mercer is shot by Sango, and Casey is soon captured by Knight. Knight retrieves the card and stows it inside his own police badge, a tangible reminder of how far the case has traveled from a simple heist.

The final confrontation comes full circle. Knight and Casey descend on Winna’s operation in LA, where Winna orders Fitz to be killed after spotting them on a security feed. In a brutal showdown, Fitz fights an assassin while Knight shoots Winna and Brigga. Sango arrives with the police, arresting Knight even as Casey tries to slip away to safety. Back at home, Casey returns to his family, only to watch as the law closes in on him. The cops arrest him as his wife and daughter watch in stunned silence, collectively realizing that the lure of quick power has shattered the family they once knew.
