Rekha

Rekha, a young woman in a small town, finishes sports school and prepares for PSC exams while dating Arjun, who works at his father's neighborhood shop. Her life centers on family and community pressures in a close-knit town. She balances her ambitions with her relationship as she moves toward adulthood.

On Arjun's birthday, he texts and video calls Rekha with the intention of staying on the line for his self-pleasuring. Rekha tries to answer without waking her family and notices her father sleeping on the patio. Arjun sneaks into her house to bring snacks from the shop, and the two share a kiss and consummate their relationship.

Arjun mentions Rekha's dead puppy and implies that if the dog had lived, they could not have slept together. Rekha questions whether his confession is connected to the dog's death and agrees to poisoning it. He apologizes, they sleep together again, but Rekha remains unsettled by his admission.

The next morning Rekha's mother finds her father dead on the patio, plunging the family into shock. Rekha grows suspicious that Arjun might be connected to the tragedy as rumors swirl around the town. At the funeral she searches for him, but he is missing, leaving her with more questions than answers.

A few days after the funeral, Rekha tries to contact Arjun via his friends but cannot reach him. She finds a cigarette bud in the front yard that is not the one Arjun discarded earlier. She attempts to contact his employer but learns he is not in town, and from Jayakrishnan she learns Arjun left for Kottayam after borrowing 500 rupees, aided by his uncle in their town.

Unable to sleep from the trauma, Rekha visits a doctor and tells him about her relationship and that she feels her father died because of her. The session helps her process some of the guilt, but the emotional burden remains heavy as she tries to move forward.

Rekha travels to Ernakulam and finds Kannan, who reveals that Arjun's father was a pervert and asks whether Arjun misbehaved with Rekha. Kannan then invites her to his place after his shift to meet Arjun, hinting at more secrets to uncover.

During the visit, Kannan begins behaving inappropriately with Rekha, and she defends herself by hitting him and breaking his nose. Kannan reveals Arjun is not his nephew and that Arjun had asked for his help after an affair with Savitha, an Anganwadi teacher who was caught. He then rings Arjun to confront him in Rekha's presence, prompting Rekha to press for answers about AWOL and her father's death.

Arjun reveals that after he left Rekha's house, her father caught him and he pushed him before leaving. Rekha relays this to her friend and promises that if Arjun is lying about the events, she will make him pay. The confrontation intensifies as she seeks the truth about what really happened.

Rekha calls her mother to get Savitha's number, only to learn that Savitha committed suicide after her affair was caught. She also learns from Jayakrishnan about the identity of the other guy, but no one saw his face. Undeterred, she begins following Arjun to uncover the full truth.

Rekha's pursuit of Arjun creeps him out as she follows him around. Arjun calls and asks her to stop following him, insisting he did not kill her father. Meanwhile, Savitha's death is under police scrutiny as investigators search for answers, and Rekha becomes a key witness in the unraveling case.

Arjun finally confesses that he did kill Rekha's father. They engage in a violent struggle where Rekha overpowers him and stabs him, then deepens the wound as the truth about their night together unravels. A flashback reveals that Arjun killed Rajendran before sleeping with Rekha, clarifying the sequence of events.

Days later, police search for Arjun due to Saritha and reach Rekha for questioning. She explains the nature of her relationship with Arjun and travels to Ernakulam to seek closure. The officers note her wounds as being from house chores, and the film closes with Rekha identifying herself as Rekha Rajendran.
