Baahubali: The Epic

In a desperate bid to save her life and the throne, Rajmata Sivagami Devi kills the two soldiers sent to kill her. She drowns in the Jeevanadhi River as Amburi tribals pull the infant to safety. Sanga, a tribal woman, adopts the baby and raises him in the Amburi Village.

Shivudu grows up within the Amburi tribe, sheltered from court politics. He becomes obsessed with the waterfall at Jeevanadhi and spends years contemplating how to climb it. He remains curious about the mysteries surrounding his origin and the falls.

Near the waterfall, Shivudu finds a mask and encounters Avanthika, a member of the Kuntala Rebels. He earns her trust by showing courage and willingness to help her mission to overthrow Mahishmati's tyranny. A tenuous alliance forms as he commits to her cause.

Shivudu agrees to aid Avanthika and travels with the rebels to strike at Mahishmati. He infiltrates the capital and helps in the plan to free Devasena from captivity. The Amburi and Kuntala allies rally to support the mission.

Shivudu's actions spark a hunt by Bhallaladeva's ally Bhadrudu and the royal general Kattappa. The Amburi tribals and rebels converge to back him, and Bhadrudu is killed in the pursuit.

After the climactic goals are achieved, Kattappa reveals that Shivudu's birth name is Mahendra, and that he is the son of Amarendra Baahubali. The revelation reframes the familial loyalties and the fight for the throne.

Decades earlier, Amarendra Baahubali is orphaned and raised by Sivagami and Bijjaladeva. Bhallaladeva grows jealous, as Baahubali's popularity and leadership threaten his royal ambitions. Sivagami and the people prefer Baahubali as the rightful king.

The Kalakeya Tribe invades, and a traitor Sakithan sells the kingdom out to Inkoshi. Baahubali defeats Inkoshi and earns the throne for saving civilians and soldiers, while Bhallaladeva's schemes cast a shadow over the realm.

Baahubali defends Kuntala from bandits and escorts Devasena to Mahishmati. Devasena rejects Bhallaladeva's advances, preferring Baahubali, and Sivagami contemplates the alliance while presenting Bhallaladeva with a throne, despite Devasena's wishes.

Bhallaladeva fires Baahubali from command and drives a wedge between Devasena and the throne. Baahubali kills Sethupathi in revenge, and Sivagami punishes them both with exile from the kingdom.

Bijjaladeva frames Baahubali for an assassination attempt, swaying Sivagami's judgment. Kattappa is ordered to execute Baahubali, who stages a fake execution as bait but is killed in the ambush.

Sivagami dies saving the infant Mahendra and names him the rightful heir. Bhallaladeva arrests Kattappa and Devasena and shoots Sivagami as she escapes with the child.

In the present, Mahendra leads a united army of Kuntala and Amburi rebels against Mahishmati. After a brutal invasion, he defeats Bhallaladeva and restrains him on a pyre built by Devasena, who then burns him to death as justice for years of cruelty.

The following day, Mahendra is crowned king and pledges to serve the people. He vows to govern with justice and protect the realm from future tyranny. The people celebrate the end of Bhallaladeva's cruel reign and the dawn of a new era.
