Mangalassery Neelakandan and his son Karthikeyan occupy opposite ends of a growing fortune inside a family torn between tradition and modern ambition. Mundakkal Nambiar—now an established industrialist who runs a multispeciality hospital—harbors a long memory and a burning need for vengeance. Years earlier, he was imprisoned for the killing of a friend of Neelakandan, Kunjananthan, on the couple’s wedding day. Nambiar’s vendetta runs deep, and his plan to weaken the Mangalassery family hinges on capturing the bank chairmanship of a debt-ridden institution. With that control, he intends to confiscate the ancestral house that was kept as mortgage to fund Suhra Hydrose’s education, a move calculated to shatter the family’s foundations.

Bhanumathi, Bhanumathi a pillar of the family, seeks medical help at Nambiar’s hospital. Despite the offer of care from Dr. Janaki, Nambiar’s daughter, the hospital doors are shut, and Neelakandan steps in to protest the injustice. In a cruel turn of fate, Bhanumathi passes away in her sleep, leaving Neelakandan devastated. He performs the funeral rites himself, a moment that hardens his resolve to confront Nambiar. The loss also reverberates through Karthikeyan, who, unable to reach the scene in time, witnesses the unraveling of the family’s safety net. The aftermath leaves Neelakandan determined to exact a reckoning against the man who stands as the greatest threat to their legacy.

The family home, the coveted Mangalassery House, teeters on the auction block as the board sides with Nambiar and Rajendran. To reclaim their heritage, Neelan’s ally, the State Home Minister, and the loyal MLA Sivadasan help Karthikeyan navigate the legal maze, but Nambiar’s scheming nephew Rajendran—along with Maniyampra Purushothaman—engineers a concealed tender that swipes the house back into their hands. The personal stakes intensify when Karthikeyan abducts Dr. Janaki to pressure Nambiar, and quietly shelters her at Sakthivel Gounder’s home in Pollachi, where the Gounder family treats her like their own daughter. It is during this period that Karthikeyan and Janaki find themselves drawn to one another.

With the Mangalassery House seemingly slipping away, a delicate agreement allows Karthikeyan to reclaim the estate, albeit without Rajendran’s or Janaki’s fiancé, Sreenivasan Nambiar IPS, knowing. Janaki’s later insistence on truth leads to a rift in their relationship, and the couple’s engagement is called off in the wake of mounting pressure and distrust. Rajendran makes a final, desperate bid to end Karthikeyan’s life, but the chaos culminates in Neelakandan’s murder at Rajendran’s hands. The blow fuels Neelan’s own thirst for vengeance, and he lashes out at the man who killed his father with a knife-thrust, leaving Rajendran dead at Neelan’s feet.

Consumed by grief and rage, Karthikeyan once again faces a turning point: he plans to burn Nambiar’s world to ashes, but an elder Warrier—Warrier—intervenes, pulling him back from the edge. The elder’s wisdom echoes through the family’s crisis, mirroring a past moment from Devasuram that shaped Neelan’s and Karthikeyan’s choices. In the end, the urns for Bhanumathi and Neelakandan sit side by side as a quiet testament to their endurance and memory. Karthikeyan rises as the new head of the Mangalassery house, and Sreenivasan’s role evolves as he returns Janaki to him, blessing their marriage in a scene of reconciliation and communal happiness.
