Puthiya Geethai

A polydactylic baby boy is born to Chinnaya in Nagapattinam. Swamy, an astrologer, reads the horoscope and predicts that the child will grow up to be intelligent and responsible, but his life will be only 27 years long. He suggests naming the child Sarathy, though he does not reveal the impending short life.

Back in Chennai, Sarathy grows into an intelligent and optimistic young man. He excels in studies and sports, and he takes care of his mother Thaiyalnayagi and his sister after his father's death. He remains well-liked and often lends a helping hand to those around him.

Sarathy runs a restaurant with his friends as a part-time venture and gets involved in real estate transactions, earning brokerages along the way. His hustling nature earns him respect but also draws the attention of unscrupulous people. He juggles studies with business to build his future.

Reddiyar is a rich but cunning real estate businessman who cheats many by allotting faulty plots. Sarathy uncovers his schemes and decides to stand with the poor against such fraud.

Lawrence, a friend of Sarathy, falls in love with Sarathy's sister but fears Sarathy's reaction. Sarathy welcomes the couple warmly and reassures his mother, strengthening family bonds.

The wedding of Sarathy's sister is arranged, marking a significant family milestone. The anticipation brings the family closer as they prepare for the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Suji grows jealous of the closeness between Sarathy and Jo. Jo realizes that Suji is secretly in love with Sarathy and resolves to be supportive while teasing them.

Sarathy is rushed to the hospital with critical injuries, and doctors fear the worst. Reddiyar arrives, witnesses the distress, and urges everyone to stay hopeful, prompting a surge of support that fuels Sarathy's recovery.

With the power of love and a renewed positive attitude, Sarathy recovers and appears to live what feels like a hundred years of happiness. The film ends by emphasizing that a positive outlook can renew life and even shift the course of fate.
