Primitive War

The final act sees the rag‑tag squad of “Vultures” racing against time to shut down the Russian particle collider that is spewing prehistoric monsters into the present. After a chaotic boat chase—​dinosaurs snapping at the hull, Baker pulling Logan back from a suicidal blast, and Sofia losing her morphine stash to the water—​the team finally reaches the heavily guarded Russian compound.

Inside, they confront General Borodin, the mad scientist who commissioned the collider. His casual cruelty is laid bare when he kills a baby T‑rex, provoking the adult predators to turn on him and launch a full‑scale onslaught. Realising there is no way to stop the monsters without destroying the collider, Sofia and the soldiers plant explosives while the dinosaurs tear the facility apart. The blast collapses the machine, but the explosion also threatens to kill everyone present.

In the ensuing melee, Keyes sacrifices himself by detonating a grenade that blows up the research station, buying the others a chance to flee. Later, as the remaining dinosaurs converge on the base, Baker deliberately stays behind, ensuring that Leon, Xavier, Sofia, and even a repentant Russian operative named Sergei can escape on a waiting helicopter. He goes out with a gunshot and a blast, becoming the team’s ultimate hero.

The helicopter lifts off just as the collider’s remnants erupt and the surviving Vultures watch the chaos below. Colonel Jericho finally arrives on the scene, eyes widened by the carnage, but he feigns ignorance when Leon demands answers, leaving the truth buried in official denial.

The film ends on an unsettling note: a peaceful herd of Brontosaurus ambles past an American military outpost, hinting that the prehistoric incursion is far from over. While Baker and several of his comrades have paid the ultimate price, the surviving few—­Leon, Xavier, Sofia, and Sergei—­are left to confront a world where dinosaurs now roam the earth, setting the stage for the story’s continuation.
