Anu Malhotra, Urmila Matondkar, and Siddharth “Siddhu” Mishra, Fardeen Khan, are deeply in love and plan to marry. Anu is ready to tell her parents about her future lifepartner, but the mood shifts when the family opts for a group safari together. Siddhu decides to go incognito, adding a quiet air of mystery as the group enjoys the chance to observe wildlife from close, almost intimate distances.
Tragedy disrupts the trip when the group (excluding Siddhu) is kidnapped by the bandit Durga Narayan Chaudhary, Sushant Singh, and his gang. The captors subject the hostages to brutal treatment and escalate their terror by beheading one of the women to pressure the government, demand ransom, and secure the release of one of their men who is in police custody. After the ransom is paid, the bandits release the remaining captives, except Anu, whom Durga Narayan Chaudhary has begun to like. This turn of events infuriates Bali, Kashmera Shah the gang’s sole female member, who resents Anu’s continued involvement with the group.
When Siddhu cannot locate Anu among the freed hostages, he enlists the help of Dorai, the illegal arms supplier, Makrand Deshpande, and secretly shadows him to reach Anu. In the ensuing chaos, Siddhu manages to escape with her, while the bandits relentlessly pursue them through the dense forest, forcing a perilous escape and a tense, muddy chase.
Back with the bandits, the casualties mount as police encounters thin their numbers, and Durga Narayan Chaudhary becomes the last man standing. His obsession with reclaiming Anu drives him forward, and he makes another move to seize her. He is intercepted by Commander Shivraj, Suniel Shetty. In a brutal turn, Durga murders Shivraj, but Siddhu ultimately overpowers Durga, leading to the bandit’s arrest. The story culminates in a heartfelt reunion of Anu and Siddhu, closing on a hopeful, happy note as their love endures the ordeal.
