Go forth among the stars and seek only the strongest prey. They shall be your trophy. Become the killer of killers.
The Shield
Set in the year 841 in Scandinavia, the narrative follows Ursa, a brave Viking warrior leading her son Anders and their clan on a mission to annihilate the Krivich tribe and its ruthless leader, Zoran, who is responsible for the murder of her father. In a fierce battle, they successfully decimate Zoran’s clan, culminating in an intense confrontation between Ursa and Zoran. Ultimately, it is Anders who strikes down Zoran. However, their triumph is abruptly shattered when a deadly Predator launches an ambush, mercilessly picking off Ursa’s clan members one by one, leaving Anders gravely wounded. Ursa bravely engages the Predator in a fierce duel, managing to kill it, but tragedy strikes as Anders succumbs to his injuries, dying in her arms.
The Sword
Fast forward to 1609 in Japan, where the story delves into the lives of two brothers, Kenji and Kiyoshi, who are the sons of a powerful samurai warlord. They are commanded to duel in order to determine who will inherit their father’s legacy. Kenji, however, refuses to engage in battle, prompting Kiyoshi to attack and ultimately defeat him, which forces Kenji into exile. As time passes, Kiyoshi rises to power as the lord of the region while Kenji adopts the life of a shinobi in seclusion. When Kenji finally decides to confront his brother, he is unaware that a Predator is stalking him. In a daring move, he infiltrates Kiyoshi’s castle and prevails in a sword fight. Tragically, as Kiyoshi falls into the moat, the unpredictable Predator attacks Kenji. In an act of brotherly love, Kenji saves Kiyoshi despite the odds, leading both siblings to successfully vanquish the Predator, yet Kiyoshi ultimately succumbs to his injuries.
The Bullet
The storyline shifts to 1941, during World War II, where John Torres finds himself drafted into the U.S. Navy, serving as a Grumman F4F Wildcat fighter pilot under the command of Captain Vandy. His squadron embarks on a mission in the North African campaign, investigating a mysterious aircraft responsible for the destruction of another unit. Due to a malfunction, Torres remains grounded and learns that the aircraft is a Predator starship that poses a threat to both sides. When he attempts to alert his comrades using a battered Wildcat, he arrives too late as the Predator launches a devastating attack on his squadron, leaving only him and Captain Vandy surviving. Vandy heroically sacrifices himself, allowing Torres to outmaneuver the Predator and trick it into its own destruction. However, in the aftermath, as World War II concludes, Torres experiences a shocking moment when he is abducted by another Predator ship while working in his garage.
Epilogue
Torres awakens in a mysterious cell alongside Ursa and Kenji, all three having been entrapped in suspended animation by the Predators. They find themselves in a gladiatorial arena on an alien planet, presented to a formidable Predator warlord who commands them to fight each other to the death for the opportunity to challenge him. Initially, Ursa attacks Torres and Kenji, but they manage to convince her to join forces for a chance at survival. The warlord releases a colossal alien beast into the arena, which tragically consumes Torres. In a breathtaking turn of events, Ursa and Kenji kill the creature, allowing Torres to escape. Just as they think they have a chance to flee, they face new perils, including a harpoon that secures their ship and causes severe injury to Kenji. Ursa, putting herself in danger, slides down the harpoon cable to destroy the launcher, sacrificing her own freedom so Torres and Kenji can escape. As the chase intensifies, Ursa is incarcerated once more, placed back into suspended animation alongside other captives, including Naru, an 18th-century Comanche hunter who had once slain a Predator in 1719.

Still wondering what the ending of Predator: Killer of Killers (2025) really means? Here’s a spoiler-heavy breakdown of the final scene, major twists, and the deeper themes that shape the film’s conclusion.
At the end of Predator: Killer of Killers, viewers see a series of cryo pods containing warriors from different eras, creating a shocking and intriguing reveal. Among them is Naru, the protagonist from Prey, who appears to have been preserved across time, hinting at a future connection in the franchise. The filmmakers clarify that these cryo pods are not a form of time travel but are used to capture warriors from their respective periods and put them into stasis until they are unleashed for combat, emphasizing that they are plucked from time, not transported through it. The ending suggests that these warriors could be reanimated at moments chosen by the franchise’s mysterious forces, creating the potential for new stories and crossovers.
The film also features redesigned Predator variants that match the different historical settings, carefully crafted so they don’t appear as costume dress-up but instead are culturally appropriate foes for each story. These variants, symbols of the diverse challenges faced by the characters, reinforce the idea that the Predator universe is expansive and filled with rich lore. Director Dan Trachtenberg hints that this project is part of a larger effort to build out the Predator mythos, including upcoming projects like Predator: Badlands.
While there’s interest in bringing this animated anthology to theaters, there are complex rights issues that complicate such a plan. Trachtenberg also suggests that the franchise could explore innovative crossovers between animation and live-action, depending on audience response. Ultimately, the ending leaves viewers pondering the idea that the Predator universe is larger and more interconnected than ever, with these cryo-preserved warriors potentially leading to future surprises and unexpected storylines. The filmmakers aimed to surprise fans with these epic, interconnected tales, setting the stage for more exciting developments in the franchise.
