During the heist, Nathan loses his footing and falls through a skylight, triggering an alarm. Ray and Terry manage to escape with the heroin but lose contact with each other in the ensuing chaos. The plan collapses as guards close in.

Ray leaves the UK and travels to Los Angeles on Charlie's orders to carry out the mission. He checks into hotels and secures a car through Eddie, signaling the final cross-continental confrontation. The tension builds as Ray lands in Los Angeles to confront Riley.

Ray arrives at Riley's apartment carrying a bag of cash and a pistol. He demands the tape, and when Riley refuses, Ray shoots him twice, killing him. He searches the apartment and finds a hotel key, a clue that helps him cover his tracks as he moves on.
