Nirali’s mother, Kiran, is a seasoned matchmaker who, upon announcing her retirement, hands the reins of the business over to her daughter, Nirali. Excited yet apprehensive, Nirali discovers that her new office space is located right next to that of Kaustubh ‘Kosty’ Chogule, a divorce lawyer grappling with severe OCD. While Kosty views marriage as a form of punishment, Nirali holds the belief that it’s a sacred bond meant to unite people.

On her first day, Nirali encounters Kosty, who tries to solicit her help to promote his business in exchange for a commission. Disgusted by his approach, the two quickly find themselves in constant conflict over trivial matters in their shared workspace. With their opposing viewpoints—Nirali striving to find love for mismatched couples and Kosty working to dissolve the unions of those who are compatible—tension fills the air.

Both characters carry the weight of past relationships; Kosty is avoiding his estranged wife, Runjhun](/actor/unknown), while Nirali is still reeling from a sudden breakup with Varun after three years of living together. As their animosity turns to understanding, a moment of vulnerability occurs when Nirali overhears Kosty callously suggesting that certain women, like his assistant Serena, are doomed to remain single. This incident strikes a painful chord with Nirali.

When Nirali learns more about Kosty’s tumultuous relationship with Runjhun, whom he refuses to confront, she becomes more intrigued by his character. Kosty’s heart, it seems, is still tethered to the past. After a drunken night of heartfelt rants directed at Kosty, Nirali opens his eyes to the reality that life is rarely ‘perfect’—that growth stems from learning from life’s imperfections.

Kiran plays the role of the matchmaker once more by inviting both Nirali and Kosty to her 60th birthday party. Amid a backdrop of joyful camaraderie, Kosty is dragged into a dance lesson, further igniting the underlying chemistry between him and Nirali. As the story unfolds, it becomes evident to Kosty that Nirali might just be the key to his healing, but complications arise.

On an unexpected Sunday rendezvous, Kosty assists Nirali with a compatibility test, but when a surprising kiss ignites tension, the reality of his marital status becomes a barrier. Their plans spiral when Kosty mysteriously disappears, leaving Nirali to wrestle with feelings of inadequacy and jealousy, particularly when he returns to attend Kiran’s party—only to reveal he had finalized his divorce from Runjhun and that he has genuine intentions toward Nirali.

Through a journey marked by conflict, unexpected romances, and personal growth, Kosty finally lays his heart on the line, proposing to Nirali amid the chaos of their intertwined lives.
