Sivaraman, Mohanlal, is a once-brilliant criminal lawyer who now exits each day in a fog of alcohol. His impressive courtroom record is a distant memory, and his clients have long since abandoned him. Yet he manages to maintain a fragile public image, aided by a devout follower named Chandy, Jagathy Sreekumar, who rescues him from the worst of his drunken outbursts. In a surprising turn of fortune, Sivaraman’s life takes a skewed but loyal turn when he befriends three notorious local rowdies and makes them part of his shrinking circle of influence: Vedakkancherry Vakkachen, Spadikam George the most conspicuous of the trio, along with Bathery Bappu and Pattambi Ravi, known by the nicknames “Kolakolli” and “Chattambi” Ravi respectively. These unlikely allies begin to back him up, expanding his reach and giving him a renewed sense of power, even as their rough methods rub against his former scruples.

The catalyst for Sivaraman’s fall from grace is heartbreak wrapped in tragedy. He falls in love with Priya, but her family disapproves, pushing them toward a cruel, orchestrated separation. On the night they attempt to elope, Priya is left waiting in a house while Sivaraman is confined elsewhere; unknown to Priya, gangsters circle, molest her, and kill her. The devastating aftermath drives Sivaraman deeper into drink and despair, muting the old spark that once made him formidable and feared.

Then a new signal of danger enters his life. Parvathi, Parvati Melton, the daughter of a local Marwari banker, calls him with a plea for help. She reveals that her life is under threat from her own family, the powerful owners of Dalal & Dalal—the bank they co-own with relatives and partners who seek to seize control through lethal means. Sivaraman, ever the strategist, brings Parvathi into his world, sheltering her and pretending to be her husband as a shield against the impending danger. The plan quickly evolves into a calculated game of wits and muscle as they confront Parvathi’s greedy relatives, each move tested in a high-stakes chess match played out in and around the bank’s shadowy networks.

As the danger heats up, Parvathi begins to see in Sivaraman a mind as sharp as his old courtroom days, and her admiration blossoms into something deeper. The two of them navigate layered plots, hidden agendas, and the constant pressure of an environment where money, loyalty, and survival collide. What starts as a protective alliance grows into a complicated relationship, built on mutual respect and a wary tenderness that hints at a future neither of them can fully predict.
