In 1943, DSP Shamsher Singh defeats the bandit Mangal Singh and captures him. He secures the newborn son as the wife dies at childbirth, and she extracts a promise that the DSP will take care of the child. This vow sets the stage for a lifelong bond across rival factions.

Shamsher fulfills the promise by rearing Mangal's son Amit in the same household as his own son Kishen. The two boys grow up with contrasting temperaments—Amit is sweet and honest, Kishen shows a wicked streak. The unlikely brothers' dynamic seeds future conflict.

After 14 years in jail, Mangal is released in 1957 and learns that Shamsher is raising Kishen, whom he believes is his own son. A misunderstanding deepens as Kishen remains in the inspector's home while drawn toward the bandit's lure. The seeds of future strife are sown.

Jumping to 1977, Amit has become a police inspector and Kishen a teacher for blind children who also works as a smuggler for Mangal's gang. The two brothers walk parallel paths, their loyalties split between family ties and crime. The mounting tension sets the stage for confrontation.

A plucky pair of orphaned sisters, Neetu and Shabbo, cross paths with the two brothers. The sisters are smitten with both men and vow to reform in order to win them over. This budding romance adds emotional stakes to the brothers' conflict.

Amit is tasked with taking down Mangal's gang and soon encounters Kishen in a tense altercation. The clash ends with Kishen being shot in the leg, raising questions about allegiance and past promises. The confrontation accelerates the strain between the two brothers.

Kishen's adversaries rig his car with a time bomb while he smuggles diamonds. Amit rushes to save him, but is caught in the explosion and loses his sight. The brothers are forced to navigate their new realities in a dangerous game of trust.

Recovering from the blast, Amit pretends to be blind to maneuver against Kishen. He uses the ruse to uncover damning evidence of Kishen's crimes and turn the tables on his brother. Kishen's criminal actions begin to unravel as the truth edges closer.

Shamsher's wife Asha realizes that Amit can actually see, compelling him to reveal the truth about Kishen. Distressed, Asha confirms Amit's lineage to others, changing how the characters relate to Kishen. The family secrets start to reshape loyalties.

Neetu and Shabbo attempt to kill Mangal, who survives and notices Neetu's locket. Amit had given that locket to Neetu years earlier, which Mangal had originally given to his wife for their son. The locket becomes the proof that Amit is Mangal's son, triggering Mangal's realization.

Shamsher confronts Kishen and informs him of his true origins. Devastated, Kishen repents and agrees to help Amit locate Mangal's lair. The brothers join forces to bring down the bandit and protect Neetu and Shabbo.

Amit and Kishen lead an assault on Mangal's lair and rescue Neetu and Shabbo; the plan culminates in an underwater action sequence as they pursue Supremo. The duo's teamwork helps defeat the gang's leadership and protect their father. The high-stakes battle test their loyalty and resolve.

With Supremo defeated, Mangal surrenders to Amit and a defeated Kishen surrenders to Shamsher. The brothers confront their past wrongs and begin to seek peace within the family. Their surrender marks a turning point toward reconciliation.

In the film's resolution, Amit and Kishen marry Neetu and Shabbo, uniting the two pairs who had grown together through trials. The weddings symbolize forgiveness, reconciliation, and the start of a peaceful life. The brothers' paths have finally converged into a shared future.
