Vardi

Vardi, meaning “Uniform,” is a sprawling tale of duty and revenge centered on a young police officer, Ajay Kumar Singh, whose unwavering commitment to justice drives him through a web of crime and personal loss.

The narrative opens with Inspector Verma and his loyal ally, Havaldar Bhagwan Singh, as they bring down the dangerous Lalchand. Lalchand’s victory is hollow, because he vows revenge and soon proves it by abducting Verma’s young son, Anil, then taunting the police with the claim that the boy is dead. The pursuit that follows is brutal and personal, and the young begins to fracture the bond between law and life. In the chaos of the hunt, the life of Bhagwan Singh is cut short, a blow that ripples through Verma’s world and tests every fiber of the people left behind.

Bereaved and determined, Verma and Shanti Verma take in Bhagwan Singh’s only son, granting him a home and a name: Ajay.
