Balachandran throws himself into his work to cope with the loss of his wife Bhama. In the process, he neglects his only son Appu, missing chances to connect with him. The widening gap sets the emotional tone of the family as grief gives way to distance.

Appu comes home for vacation and longs for his father's attention. Balachandran is unable to fulfill the promises he makes due to ongoing work commitments. The boy feels abandoned, heightening tensions at home.

Balachandran notices Appu's nose bleeding and rushes him to Dr. Gopan. The doctor detects a serious internal haemorrhage in Appu's head, with no clear explanation. An urgent surgery is deemed essential, and a renowned neurosurgeon is brought in from Mumbai.

The medical team struggles to determine the bleeding's cause, while Balachandran recalls the earlier fight and suspects Rudran's involvement. Dr. Gopan counsels restraint, urging Balachandran to stay with his son and pray rather than seek revenge. The moment marks a turning point where Balachandran must confront his neglect and choose to support Appu.

To fulfill Appu's wish, Balachandran and Appu travel to Meenakshi's house, where she is facing an arranged marriage. Balachandran fights her brother and frees Meenakshi, deciding to take her along for a final family trip. The journey signals a moment of emotional reconciliation for the trio.

They embark on a final trip toward the summer house with Meenakshi in tow, while Appu remains mildly sedated. During the ride, Appu hallucinates his mother Bhama approaching him, adding a poignant surreal moment to the narrative. The scene deepens the focus on love, loss, and healing.

As Balachandran mournfully cries, Bhama appears and notices his pain, then walks away without Appu. This departure is interpreted as a hopeful sign for Appu's survival, suggesting a turning point in the emotional arc. The moment reinforces the possibility of healing within the family.
