A singer named Pappan (Rahman) dies in a bike accident, but the god of death Yamaraj (Thilakan) discovers that Pappan still has a few days left. Yamaraj grants him the power to temporarily inhabit the bodies of other deceased people, including Inspector Devdas (Mohanlal), so he can tell his girlfriend Sarina (Lizy) that he is gone and encourage her to move forward with her life.
