Pandavar Bhoomi

After twelve years in the city, Dhanasekar returns to his ancestral village with his wife and children. The villagers greet him with warmth and relief. He dreams of a new bungalow beside the old home and hires Tamizh, a skilled architect, to design it.

Tamizh, an architect, is commissioned to design the new house as construction begins. Dhanasekar and his family stay with a neighbor, while Tamizh camps near the site in a tent to oversee the work. Vinu Chakravarthy, who harbors a deep hostility toward the family, quietly plots trouble.

Jeeva, Dhanasekar's niece, befriends Tamizh and their bond gradually grows into love. Tamizh starts to cherish her, but Jeeva does not respond and remains reserved. The budding romance faces an early barrier as Jeeva does not give a clear answer.

A family arrives expressing interest in marrying Jeeva to their son. Dhanasekar tells them that Jeeva will instead marry his brother Ranjith, who has been in jail for twelve years. Tamizh is shocked and angered by the arrangement, understanding the family's troubling history.

Dhanasekar recounts the backstory to Tamizh, explaining the events that led to the clan's exile and the consequences of Ranjith’s imprisonment. He warns Tamizh about the complexities and pressures surrounding Jeeva’s future.

In 1990, Dhanasekar is a wealthy farmer living with his brothers and Ranjith, while Vinu Chakravarthy is a rival farmer. They clash over a tanning factory lease that threatens the village’s water source. The two sides fight to protect their land and livelihoods.

Villagers, led by Dhanasekar, confront tanning factory officials and secure the relocation of the project. The conflict stirs long-standing tensions between families and sets the stage for further tragedy. The community remains on edge as negotiations continue.

That night, Vinu poisons Dhanasekar’s farm pond, killing all the cows and oxen that drink from it. Dhanasekar files a police complaint, and Vinu is imprisoned. The betrayal deepens old wounds between the families.

Thamarai, Dhanasekar's sister, falls in love with Akash, Vinu's younger son. She elopes with him on her wedding day; Manorama dies that night unable to bear the scandal. The family is shattered by the ensuing fallout.

Ranjith, furious at Thamarai's elopement, attacks the wedding party with a sickle and decapitates Thamarai and Akash in a moment of rage. He surrenders to the police and is sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Overcome by sorrow, Dhanasekar's family leaves the village for Tirupur to rebuild their lives and returns after about eleven years. They worry about Ranjith's future and decide to arrange Jeeva's marriage to him to preserve the family.

Jeeva agrees to marry Ranjith to safeguard the family's welfare, even as Tamizh understands the situation and decides to give up his love for Jeeva. He resolves to stand by their family and protect Jeeva's welfare.

Mukesh Tiwari plants a bomb in the nearly completed house to destroy it and kill everyone inside. Tamizh discovers the plot, grapples with danger, and manages to thwart it by throwing the bomb away. The blast is averted, and the family is saved, though Vinu Chakravarthy dies from the shock of the thwarted plan.

Dhanasekar and his brothers return to invite Tamizh and his father for the house-warming and Jeeva's wedding. The invitation shocks Tamizh when he sees his own name as the groom. A flashback shows Ranjith's release after twelve years and his belief that Jeeva is the reincarnation of his sister Thamarai, guiding the final decisions.

Ultimately, the family agrees to let Jeeva marry Tamizh, recognizing their true love and mutual sacrifice. The film closes with Tamizh and Jeeva uniting as a couple, while the past is reconciled and the future is secured.
