One day, after making a delivery, he assists probation officer Cho Min-jo in subduing a dangerous parolee who has violated the terms of his release. As a result of his bravery, probation department head Kim Seon-min persuades Jung-do to join the ranks as a "martial arts officer." This role involves utilizing his martial arts skills to manage aggressive probation violators, and Seon-min quickly becomes both a mentor and a close friend to Jung-do, who begins to see him as a big brother. Through this partnership, Jung-do develops a profound sense of justice.

Their first major assignment involves keeping tabs on notorious child abuser Kang Ki-jung, recently released on parole.
