Sesha Ratnam comes from Nakkabokkalapaadu with a posture that places beauty above all else, shaping her world and the way she treats those around her. Her husband, Veerabhadraiah, is loyal yet overshadowed by a second wife, Nagamani. Nagamani’s presence reveals a past love that predates the marriage, a truth that Janakamma, Veerabhadraiah’s mother, tries to bury under tradition. When Sesharatnam confronts this hidden history, she openly rebukes her mother-in-law and isolates her from the couple’s life, choosing distance over reconciliation. The family then has two daughters, Shobha, a serene homemaker, and Neeru, a spirited, modern-minded girl, each carving her own path within the village’s expectations.

Veerabhadraiah’s ambition to strengthen kin ties leads him to imagine a union between his family and his nephew, Venkateswara Rao / Venkanna, as a way to bind generations and secure a united future. Sesharatnam resists this plan, and the stage is set for a clash of wills that tests loyalty, pride, and love. Into this friction arrives Venkanna, whom Venkateswara Rao / Venkanna carries with him a blend of charm and challenge. He steps into the village with a determined aim: to win over Shobha and Neeru, while navigating the sharp, sometimes hostile eyes of Sesharatnam who challenges him at every turn.

Their encounters are full of playful as well as sharp exchanges, as Venkanna teases Sesharatnam and gently pushes the two sisters toward him, each in her own way drawn to his resolve. Meanwhile, Veerabhadraiah’s secret issues come to light, as Appadu exerts blackmail that adds tension to the family drama, complicating loyalties and threatenings. Venkanna’s declarations of protecting honor deepen the romance with Shobha, and Neeru, too, finds herself drawn to the same man, creating a triangle of affection that the family must ultimately resolve.

As the plot thickens, a startling revelation emerges about the twins: one is Nagamani’s child, while the other belongs to Sesharatnam. The elder, Sesharatnam, had once carried twins and faced a loss, while Veerabhadraiah later claimed Nagamani’s daughter as part of their joint losses and gains. The revelation forces Sesharatnam to confront the truth in the presence of Nagamani, and Janakamma remains uncertain, while Nagamani makes a compassionate statement about motherhood—that the woman who shares love with others is the true mother—urging everyone to recognize and accept the bonds that already exist.

With the truth finally acknowledged, the elders leave the fateful decision to the sisters and to Venkanna, who finds himself torn between two equally deserving partners. The two sisters—Shobha and Neeru—move closer to him, but he remains hesitant, conceding with a quiet humility that he cannot immediately choose. In a hopeful, festive finish, Venkanna’s heart learns to balance both relationships, and the story closes on a note of harmony as the two sisters unite with him, sealing a unique, joyous ending where love, family, and tradition find reconciliation in a single, celebratory moment. Sarva Rayudu adds a touch of humor and warmth to the ensemble as the tale winds toward its cheerful close.
