The film opens in Nakkabokkalapaadu, where Sesharatnam places beauty above all else. She rebukes her henpecked husband Veerabhadraiah for having a second wife, Nagamani. It is revealed that Veerabhadraiah loved Nagamani before, but his mother Janakamma forced him to marry Sesharatnam.

Sesharatnam discovers the complexity of Nagamani's role and retaliates by rebuking her mother-in-law Janakamma and withdrawing from Veerabhadraiah, deepening the rift in the household. The couple eventually has two daughters, Shobha and Neeru.

To unite the families, Veerabhadraiah promotes his nephew Venkanna as a prospective match for a daughter of Sesharatnam. He believes this arrangement could mend the rift with Nagamani and bring the clan closer.

Venkanna arrives in the village, and Sesharatnam immediately vilifies him, challenging him to win the hand of her daughter. This confrontation sets the stage for a clash between tradition and the new suitor.

Venkanna makes bold attempts to woo both Shobha and Neeru through a series of playful skirmishes and teases. Sesharatnam resists, while Veerabhadraiah watches to see whether the plan will succeed.

Appadu blackmails Veerabhadraiah, threatening to reveal a secret that could shake the family. The disclosure adds pressure to the already tense dynamics and tests loyalties.

As Shobha grows fond of him, Venkanna defends his own honor and integrity. He explains that his conduct is guided by principle, not deception, despite the heated competition around him.

Donnybrooks intensify as Neeru and Shobha reveal their affection for Venkanna and vow they will not marry without him. The sisters' bold declaration heightens the rivalry and complicates the path to a match.

A shocking revelation emerges: one of the two sisters is Nagamani's child, not Sesharatnam's. The two were born around the same time; Sesharatnam had twins and lost her own baby, which Veerabhadraiah retrieved from Nagamani.

The elders travel to Nagamani and Janakamma to uncover the truth behind the rift. Nagamani asserts that motherhood is defined by love and urges them to recognize the reality and accept the daughters' fates.

The elders leave the ultimate decision to the young lovers: Shobha and Neeru ask Venkanna to choose between them. The situation leaves Venkanna bewildered as he stands at a crossroads between two families.

Venkanna rushes to the Venkateswara temple for guidance. The Lord reveals that He awaits an answer to the same question He could not resolve for His wives, Sridevi and Bhudevi, placing Venkanna at a moment of spiritual doubt.

Shobha and Neeru approach Venkanna, and guided by the divine message, he binds with both sisters. The film closes on a joyous note as Venkanna fuses with the two and restores family harmony.
