The movie unfolds across two contrasting settings: a rural cinema hall where the pivotal money swap occurs, and a five-star hotel that serves as a glamorous backdrop for debt, danger, and opportunism. The narrative also traverses humble film distribution offices and glossy urban spaces, highlighting the contrast between ambition and morality.

Gopinatha loves his cousin Saritha, but their relationship faces strong familial opposition. This love story collides with social constraints and the drive for personal success, creating tension between duty to family and personal desire.

Greed is the central catalyst that drives the plot. When Gopinatha and Samson discover a box containing Rs. 40 lakh in cash at a rural cinema, their decision to keep the money tests their loyalties and invites pursuit by a gang and a hawala network. The consequences of their greed pull them into dangerous situations and moral compromises.

His nephew Sundaresan is tasked with leading the search for the missing money.

Susan is an old acquaintance of Samson who works as a singer at the five-star hotel. She aids the protagonists in retrieving the money and shows courage when faced with danger, including confronting a hotel manager's assault.

Akamsha Films is a struggling film distribution company where Samson works as a film representative. Pappi and Krishnankutty are co-owners of this company. Pappi's money box becomes the catalyst for the misadventures that follow, and his death in the confusion adds mystery to the theft.
