Crossing the border into Texas and then into Mexico, Daryl assumes Freddy’s identity, hoping to stay ahead of both criminals and law enforcement. He spots a wanted photo of Freddy for the murder of Governor Eduardo Quintana, which escalates his panic and forces a frantic escape, including a tense car chase and a return to a rural setting at an emu ranch motel. The motel owner, Junior, finds Freddy’s card on Daryl and misreads the situation, assuming Daryl is Freddy and ready to turn him in. In the meantime, McReady, who is undercover, informs Daryl that Freddy was expelled from the Bureau years ago for mental issues, a revelation that adds another layer of doubt and suspicion to the already tangled web. A new call to Chloe reveals that agents Norville and Gradney, who had pretended to be drug dealers, are still pursuing Daryl for the murders, while Freddy arrives at the motel with a crucial reveal: he has placed a transmitter on Daryl, ensuring Freddy can locate him if he runs.

At a bar, Freddy explains to Daryl that McReady and Martinez are corrupt agents, that the soda company is a drug front, and that “Thomas Chela” is actually Minty Gutierrez, the drug cartel head who is implicated in Quintana’s murder by a sequence of surveillance footage. Freddy’s warning prompts Daryl to return to the motel, but a new wave of danger arrives as the approaching trucks of would-be killers from a front company materialize. Freddy realizes that the attack is imminent and attempts to signal a strike team through a pen device, though the moment remains tense as rifles and weapons come into play. A chaotic shootout erupts between the truckers and the police, ending with Daryl captured by the motel owner and taken to a police station, while Freddy escapes.

Inside the station, the captain appears ready to believe Daryl’s denials until Maque arrives, posing as Freddy’s spouse; she confirms that she has only met Daryl once at the fashion show, leaving law enforcement uncertain about whom to believe. McReady then arrives to extract Daryl, but the situation worsens when Martinez and the assassin who attacked Daryl earlier are still very much alive. The trio—Daryl, Freddy, and Maque—face a high-stakes confrontation at Quintana’s mansion, where Gradney’s betrayal becomes a turning point. Gradney exposes Maque as an FBI agent as well as Freddy’s wife and partner, and the group fights to gain upper hand. Minty Gutierrez arrives with C.A., Maque, McReady, and Martinez, revealing the plan to control Minty’s vast hidden funds. Minty’s confession shifts the game: turning him and the corrupt staff over to the Justice Department is the only way to reclaim the billions held in American banks.

A new intruder arrives: the assassin with Chloe hostage, triggering a violent shootout.
