Mugamoodi

Anand, a college graduate living in Chennai, studies martial arts with a group of unemployed friends. He hates 9-5 jobs and dreams of a better path for themselves. His grandfather advises him to recruit new students to pay tuition and save their school.

Across the city, a string of burglaries leaves dozens dead and a large amount of money stolen. Police suspect a major heist is about to occur. The city braces for the next crime wave.

To impress, Anand borrows a superhero costume and introduces himself as Mugamoodi to Shakthi. He tries to show off to children and ends up in the middle of a police chase. The act marks the beginning of his masked vigilante persona.

Anand helps the cops capture one of the bandits during a transfer. The gang shoots the captured suspect before they can be questioned. News of Mugamoodi's capture goes viral, and Shakthi begins to like the masked hero.

Gaurav uncovers a fingerprint from the crime scene that matches records in the police database. The investigation starts pointing toward a larger criminal network. This discovery deepens the mystery behind the burglaries.

Anand decides to visit Shakthi unmasked to confess his love. On the way, a gang member shoots Gaurav, and Anand tries to seize the shooter, but the gunman escapes. The incident leads the family to believe Anand is responsible for the shooting.

Anand is chased by the police and ends up at Viji's dead body. The gang's actions and the suspicious circumstances cause authorities to suspect Anand of killing Viji. He is forced to go on the run.

Anand's grandfather and brother create a proper superhero costume for him to adopt Mugamoodi. The new costume marks a turning point in his vigilante endeavors.

Gaurav survives the attack and the gang plans to kill him and his family in the hospital. Mugamoodi intervenes, defeating the gang and saving the injured family. He also seizes a file containing vital findings, including the fingerprint match, fueling his quest to avenge Viji.

Chandru reveals that he is not connected to the crimes and that Anguchamy alias Dragon is behind them. He also explains that Dragon and Chandru learned martial arts in the same school 22 years ago. This reveals a personal history linking the two.

Dragon discovers Mugamoodi's true identity as Anand and orders a raid on Chandru's school to eliminate him. Chandru is killed in the raid when he is not present, removing a potential ally. The revelation spikes the conflict.

Dragon's gang seizes a port, kidnapping 30 children and three adults including Shakthi for blackmail. They demand a ship to help them cross the Indian border and insist Mugamoodi drive a gold-laden van alone. The clock is ticking as authorities negotiate.

During the confrontation, Dragon removes Mugamoodi's mask and reveals Anand's identity to Shakthi. He also confesses that his brother Anthony had shot Gaurav earlier, adding a personal vendetta to the crime.

With help from his grandfather and friends who sneaked into the port, Anand eliminates key gang members and confronts Dragon in a final duel. Dragon falls to his death in the sea, the hostages are released, and Shakthi urges Anand to continue as Mugamoodi.
