Krishna is talking with Shanti when a letter arrives at their home. He realises he is late for an important meeting and must hurry to reach the person waiting. The letter sets the course for his sudden departure.

Krishna arrives at a house and finds his friend Gopal lying on his deathbed. This moment triggers a flashback that reveals the trio's past.

During the flashback, Krishna, Radha and Gopal are childhood friends who grow up together in a small village. Gopal loves Radha, while Krishna and Radha share a budding romance.

Gopal leaves to earn money so he can one day marry Radha. While he is away, Krishna and Radha begin an intimate relationship.

Radha's relationship with Krishna results in a pregnancy. The situation grows more complicated as Radha remains loyal to Gopal in her marriage.

Circumstances bring Gopal back and he marries Radha. He hopes for a stable life with the woman he believed to be his future wife.

Radha gives birth to a baby girl named Shanti, who is Krishna's daughter. The child becomes the center of the family’s fragile balance.

Radha, still in love with Krishna, leaves Shanti in Gopal's care and returns to her father's house. She hopes to live her life freely while Shanti remains under Gopal's guardianship.

Radha tries to jump into a river but survives; authorities detain her and keep her under supervision. The incident deepens the emotional strain on everyone involved.

Gopal tracks down Radha and visits her. Radha confesses that she loved Krishna and reveals that Shanti is Krishna's daughter.

Gopal breaks down emotionally and reassures that everything will be alright. He writes a Will, hands Shanti to Krishna, leaves all his wealth to Shanti, and gives Radha divorce papers to free her.

Gopal leaves on a ship and sails away, closing the chapter on his life in the past.

In the present timeline, the elderly Gopal lies on a bed, meets Krishna, and explains that he only wanted to see Krishna one last time as his death nears. He dies soon after, having fulfilled his wish.

Krishna reveals to his daughter Shanti that years earlier Radha had gone to an Ashram and subsequently died. The truth brings closure to the long-simmering family saga.
