Poorna, who lives in Vizag with his father Rama Chandra Rao, dreams of earning a spot on the Indian cricket team and starts by aiming to break into the local railway team. To fund his cricket ambitions, he crosses paths with Anshu, and after a few misunderstandings, the two grow closer and fall in love. Yet tragedy soon interrupts their bond: Anshu’s parents pull them apart, and Anshu—who promises to return—never does. The heartbreak shatters Poorna, sending him into a deep, alcohol-fueled slump that derails his cricket prospects.

Meanwhile, Sravani, Poorna’s neighbor who has long harbored affection for him, observes his suffering from a distance. When she learns of his love for Anshu, she gradually steps back, but years later she quietly marries Poorna after witnessing the pain that both he and his father endure. Poorna enters the marriage largely from obligation, and he withdraws from work, living off Sravani’s salary while clinging to memories of Anshu.

Sravani works at the Indian Railways, stationed at Simhachalam, and her steady presence becomes a quiet anchor in Poorna’s life even as his past shadows linger.

The story pivots when Poorna travels to Dehradun to help select young talent for the railway youth team. There he meets Meera, Anshu’s daughter, and learns from Anshu’s father Rajeev that Anshu and her husband Kunal died in an accident. Touched by Meera’s resolve and passion for cricket, Poorna agrees to bring her back to Vizag for training, at Rajeev’s request. Meera, while training with Poorna, uncovers the truth about her mother and about Poorna, and she makes a bold condition: she will play only as a representative of the local Railway team, which requires at least one parent to be a Railway employee. To fulfill this, Poorna and Sravani decide to adopt Meera so she can participate in cricket.

Meera imposes another demand: she will only agree if Poorna and Sravani act as a husband-and-wife pair, rather than as two people living together without a marriage. They agree, sealing the arrangement.

As their lives intertwine with Meera’s presence, Poorna begins to recognize the depth of Sravani’s love for him and contemplates leaving his past behind for a fresh start. Yet Sravani suspects that his change is not as permanent as it seems. She decides to seek a transfer to Bhubaneswar, hoping to move on without him. When Poorna accompanies her to the railway station to say goodbye, he intends to confess his love. In that moment, she chooses to leave, but ultimately she stays, and the two share a heartfelt embrace, bringing Poorna’s journey toward love to a hopeful, reconciled close.
