Aravind is an average student who receives little attention from his parents, teachers, and friends. During his school days, he notices Sathyamurthy (Sathya), a local don with a kind heart, and develops a liking for Janani. Janani earns a state rank in the 12th board exams and aspires to become a journalist, so she joins a journalism college—one where Aravind also gains admission. The trio’s paths begin to intertwine, setting up a tale of ambition, loyalty, and the gray areas between right and wrong.

Aravind proposes to Janani in college, but she turns him down, saying that he needs to achieve something in life. Aravind feels disappointed and contemplates ending his life by drowning himself. He accidentally saves a child, who happens to be Sathya’s son. Sathya thanks him and promises to offer help if needed. Aravind reveals to Sathya that his original plan was to take his own life. The video of the rescue goes viral on social media, earning him recognition in college and from Janani. Slowly, the two become good friends. He also excels in an exam and earns a scholarship for a short trip to the London School of Journalism. It is shown that Sathya is behind all these incidences: he found the video, made it viral, and even threatened a college professor to ensure Aravind would receive the scholarship. The undercurrent of influence and manipulation threads through these moments, adding tension to the growing bond between Aravind and Janani.

Aravind wrestles with whether to tell Janani the truth. Meanwhile, Yogendran, an inspector, tries to kill Sathya but escapes. In a later turn of events, Sathya is killed by Yogendran. Janani discovers that Sathya was the force behind Aravind’s scholarship and ends their relationship. Aravind learns that the truth reached Janani through his classmate Sanjay Bharathi, who found it with the help of the professor. The revelation shatters his standing at college and strains his family ties, as his father disowns him. Undeterred, he decides to turn his life around and starts an NGO that provides meals to people in need, organizing community efforts and fundraising to keep it running. Janani’s wedding is arranged with a man who also interviews Aravind, a juxtaposition that prompts her to rewatch the events unfold online and reevaluate Aravind’s true nature. In the end, after a long arc of mistakes, consequences, and acts of reform, Aravind and Janani are reunited, hinting at a second chance built on accountability and a shared desire to do good.
