Two British nationals are killed by a ferocious tiger in Corbett National Park, triggering an investigation. Krish Thapar, a wildlife expert, and his wife Riya are sent by National Geographic to uncover what really happened.

Dev Malhotra and his friends Ishika, Sajid, and Vishal set out on a hunting trip hoping to sight big prey. When their car breaks down, Bagga, an alcoholic passerby driver, offers them a lift.

Bagga's car accidentally hits Krish's car, forcing both groups to travel together. A mechanic is left behind to repair Krish's car, and the uneasy alliance begins.

Shortly after setting off, the mechanic disappears, leading everyone to fear a wild animal has taken him. Despite the danger, the group decides not to pause and continue deeper into the jungle.

Bagga finds a guesthouse owned by DS Pandey, a guide who agrees to lead them to the core tiger area. The prospect of hunting with a guide raises both hope and suspicion among the group.

That night Pandey disappears; the next day his decapitated body is found in a swamp. Krish, being an animal expert, suspects the killer is not a tiger or other wildlife.

Forest officer Bashir Khan warns the group to leave the jungle. Sajid goes missing with Dev assuming he went to the core area to hunt, and they decide to depart without him.

Sajid's decapitated body is found by a lake. Soon they are confronted by three tigers on the road, and a mysterious man named Kaali Pratap Singh appears offering help.

Kaali proves to be knowledgeable about the jungle and its history. He tells a tale of a crazy tour guide whose ghost supposedly kills tourists, a story which the others dismiss as superstition.

Bagga disappears again while repairing his car. Shortly after, Vishal is killed when a car window explodes, sending a fatal impact toward him.

The group reaches a deserted guesthouse at night and discovers a well outside. Ignoring Kaali's warning, Riya drinks from the well and is hanged by her foot, dying.

The remaining members realize Riya is dead and suspect Kaali. Dev notices Kaali has no reflection in the well water and realises Kaali is the ghost; he shows videos to Krish and Ishika proving his true nature.

Kaali returns with timbers to perform Riya's final rites but finds nobody; the trio has escaped.

Flashbacks reveal villagers did not kill Kaali but instead beat him and threw him to a hungry tiger, which mauled him to death. Kaali's ghost now haunts the jungle and seeks vengeance on tourists.

Krish writes his report concluding the deaths were tiger attacks, choosing not to reveal the true cause. He credits Kaali as the main contributor to the report, while Kaali continues to lure and kill tourists, with a new victim killed by a truck as a fresh group arrives.
