Indrajeet is a Tamil pop singer based in Bangalore who commands a large female following. When a backup dancer, Sandhya, in Indrajeet’s group, is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the police suspect Indrajeet, but they have no evidence linking him to the crime. Meanwhile, Divya, Sandhya’s sister, arrives at her aunt Dr. Prabhavathy’s house to uncover the truth about Sandhya’s death. She gets off on the wrong foot with Indrajeet, and soon she is drawn into the world of his music, his entourage, and the uncertainties surrounding the tragedy. She talks to his manager, Harichandra Prasad, and other musicians who all have differing opinions about Sandhya, painting a complex picture of a life lived in the glare of fame.
As the investigation unfolds, Divya stages an act in a bar to provoke a reaction from Indrajeet, and he ends up rescuing her, a sequence that lands them at one of his concerts. The showy event becomes a stage for danger when, at the finale, Jennifer, a devoted fan who climbs onto the stage to kiss Indrajeet, is suddenly killed that very night by someone wearing Indrajeet’s coat. With no solid evidence to pin the crime on him, the police tighten their scrutiny and warn Divya that Indrajeet is a possible suspect in Sandhya’s death, deepening the tension between the lovers and the public eye.
To test Indrajeet’s loyalty and skill, Divya orchestrates a staged kidnapping, carefully watching as the supposedly vulnerable kidnapper is bandaged up and wheeled out of a hospital. She learns, perhaps, a chilling detail: all the murdered women were killed with precise, knife-like cuts. But the next day, Indrajeet spots Divya walking with the bandaged kidnapper and realizes she was pretending to love him. He then opens up about Sandhya: she had been an unstable substance abuser who had fallen for him, though he did not reciprocate. She had threatened to harm herself if he did not return her affections, and he had managed to save her in a past crisis—the last he had seen of her.
A more sinister thread emerges as the killer exhibits a pattern: pictures that could incriminate Indrajeet, and a habit of arriving at murder scenes mere minutes after each killing to taunt him. Despite the strain, Divya believes him and finds herself increasingly drawn to him, even as the danger escalates.
In a tense cat-and-mouse sequence, the killer is finally revealed to be Harichandra Prasad, the manager who orchestrated a web of manipulation and fear. He even attacks Dr. Prabhavathy, though she survives the assault. Indrajeet discovers similar clothing in Harichandra’s closet and uncovers a secret room filled with photographs of the victims, exposing a chilling motive rooted in professional jealousy—a resentment toward the women who lusted after Indrajeet while he felt overlooked.
The confrontation intensifies when the killer kidnaps Divya and orders Indrajeet to come to an abandoned house with the incriminating photographs. The motive becomes clear: a jealous craving for recognition and power over the women who surrounded Indrajeet. A climactic chase and fight follows, the killer is killed, Indrajeet’s name is cleared, and in the end, the remaining threads are resolved, allowing Divya, Indrajeet, and those close to them to move forward.
Ultimately, the story threads together fame, obsession, and danger in a way that tests trust and resilience, leaving the protagonists to navigate the aftermath of a deadly arc in a world where appearances can be deceiving and loyalty is hard-won.
