Hellboy

In 1944, the Nazis constructed a dimensional portal off the Scottish coast. This project aimed to unleash the Ogdru Jahad, a race of monstrous entities, to change the course of the war in their favor.

Guided by the Russian mystic Grigori Rasputin, the Nazis managed to open the portal. Together with his followers, Ilsa Von Haupstein and Kroenen, they intended to summon chaos to create a new paradise.

An Allied task force, led by Trevor Bruttenholm, was dispatched to stop the Nazis' plan. The confrontation resulted in the elimination of the German team and the destruction of the portal.

The portal's destruction resulted in the emergence of a baby demon, which the team named Hellboy. This creature came equipped with a mysterious stone right hand, marking the beginning of his journey.

Sixty years later, Hellboy has developed a father-son relationship with Trevor Bruttenholm. However, their bond becomes strained due to Hellboy's constant defiance of orders from the Bureau.

FBI agent John Myers is assigned to the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense at Bruttenholm's request. He meets Hellboy and encounters Abe Sapien, a psychic amphibian.

Liz Sherman, a BPRD member with pyrokinetic powers, checks into a mental health facility. She seeks refuge from her unpredictable abilities, while Hellboy grapples with his feelings for her.

In Moldova, Kroenen and Haupstein succeed in resurrecting Rasputin. This event sets the stage for the unveiling of Sammael, a perpetual hell-hound capable of multiplying.

Rasputin invades Liz's dreams, amplifying her pyrokinetic volatility. This manipulation nearly causes chaos within the mental health facility, threatening those inside.

Tragedy strikes when Trevor Bruttenholm is diagnosed with terminal cancer, leaving him with only days to live. He sends Hellboy and Abe on a mission to destroy Sammael's eggs before time runs out.

Hellboy and Abe face off against the formidable Sammael, who grows stronger with each defeat. The battle escalates, leading to injuries and a lethal attack on an FBI agent.

Kroenen, an elusive figure with mechanical enhancements, pretends to retreat but is secretively plotting against the Bureau. His dark intentions pose a significant threat to the team.

In a moment of rage, Kroenen murders Bruttenholm, throwing Hellboy into a quest for revenge. The team is guided to Rasputin's hideout, where they prepare for a fierce confrontation.

In the Russian cemetery, a significant battle occurs where Hellboy reunites with Liz and Myers. Despite overwhelming odds, Liz unleashes her fiery powers against Sammael, showcasing her true strength.

Rasputin forces Hellboy to make a catastrophic choice: unleash the Ogdru Jahad or watch Liz die. In an act of self-realization, Hellboy embraces his true identity as Anung Un-Rama, ultimately choosing to reject his destructive destiny.
