Grizzly Rage

Sean, Ritch, Wes, and Lauren celebrate their high school graduation by breaking into Saranac Grotto, ignoring the No Trespassing signs. They speed down a dirt road and crash after hitting a grizzly bear cub, cracking the radiator. As they argue about burying the cub, they hear the mother approaching and flee into the forest.

With the Jeep overheating, Wes and Ritch head into the forest to find water. The grizzly mother appears and attacks Ritch, and Wes, reacting to Ritch's screams, runs into the bear and is mauled. The other two arrive to rescue Wes but cannot save Ritch, who is killed.

The Jeep somehow starts again and the group leaves the crash site. Wes panics and tries to force Sean to turn around for Ritch, causing the car to careen off the road and down a cliff. Calmer, he wants to wait for help, but the others are lost and have no idea where they are.

The convoy manages to winch the Jeep back up to the road, but it refuses to start. They face being stranded in the forest and begin planning their next moves while the night tightens around them.

Sean runs about 15 kilometers to find help and discovers a deserted shack with hunting paraphernalia and a bear trap. The bear appears and attacks him, throwing him onto the shack’s roof and into a chicken coop. Hours later he drags himself back to the Jeep with an injured leg.

Wes climbs a hill hoping for a cell signal but finds none. The bear nearly catches him before he retreats. He returns to the Jeep, and Wes and Lauren hide in the vehicle with the wounded Sean in the back.

The bear climbs on top of the Jeep, smashing it and eventually overturning the vehicle as the sun sets. Sean awakens briefly, tells them about the shack, and dies shortly after.

Wes and Lauren push the damaged Jeep down the hill toward the shack as a thunderstorm hits. They reach a clearing near the shack and prepare to take shelter, hoping to regroup against the threat.

Lauren enters the shed where she has prepared a trap. The bear slams at her through a window, sending her back against the trap and impaling her back. She returns to the vehicle, where the bear rips off the tailgate and drags away Sean's body.

Wes grabs a gasoline can and pours a trail from the Jeep into the woods, hoping to lure the bear. They ignite it and the Jeep explodes, but the bear remains unharmed and continues its approach.

Wes climbs a tree, leaving blood-stained clothes on the ground to trick the bear. The bear sniffs the clothes and finds him; he drops the tire iron, drawing the bear's attention. He escapes and heads toward the shack where Lauren has built a trap.

Wes and Lauren lure the bear into the shack and spring a mechanism to close the front door behind it. The bear breaks out, and they try to escape, but Wes stumbles and Lauren refuses to abandon him. The bear catches up to them and kills them both.
