Grizzly Park

A serial killer, Butch, escapes from prison after murdering an officer and uses his victim’s identity to vanish into the remote, rugged expanse of Grizzly Park. To keep his cover intact, he recruits eight troubled teens assigned to a week of community service as part of a rehabilitation program inside the park. The group includes Michael White, a white supremacist; Lola, a Mexican tomboy; Bebe, who comes across as ditzy; Ty, a computer wiz; Candy, a shallow “it girl”; Ryan, a spoiled rich kid; KiKi, equally spoiled and vain; and Trickster, whose main interest lies in pranks.

From the start, the teens meet Ranger Bob and Ranger Mike as they begin their trek into the park. Ranger Bob leads the expedition while Ranger Mike stays behind with Butch, who quickly turns the situation deadly by stabbing Mike to death before himself entering the park. Butch’s assault is interrupted only when a massive grizzly bear confronts him and kills him, marking a brutal shift in the deadly dynamics of the park.

As they hike, the miscreants are given chances for redemption, but the group’s preoccupations with each other quickly override those chances. Ty and KiKi slip away from the main party, and Ty ends up trapped in a wolf snare. The ensuing blood attracts a wolf, which viciously devours KiKi, while Ty is soon finished off by the lurking grizzly.

The survivors press on and reach the camp, where they spend the night under tense skies. The next morning, with KiKi and Ty missing, Ranger Bob ventures out in search of the two, leaving the others to continue their uneasy dynamic around the campfire. Night falls again as Ranger Bob recovers Ty and KiKi’s remains, hastening back toward the camp. In the confusion, Scab departs from the group to breathe in gas, and Trickster costumes himself as a bear to frighten the others. While Scab is on a drug-fueled nightmare, the bear attacks, killing him, a death that goes unnoticed amid Trickster’s prank. The bear then strikes again, decapitating Trickster and ripping Lola in half.

In a shed, Ryan, Candy, and Bebe try to ride out the horror. The bear attacks them, and Ryan is dragged out and mauled to death. Candy and Bebe rush to pull him back in, but Ryan’s arms are torn away, sealing his grim fate. The bear later returns to the shed, and Bebe manages a narrow escape by slamming the door, though Candy is left to be mauled when she’s trapped inside.

The following morning brings a grim return for Ranger Bob, who finds a distressed Bebe preparing to leave. She reveals that she manipulated Ranger Bob and even plotted to murder him with Lola’s gun, a chilling admission that shatters any pretense of redemption in the camp. As Bebe exits the cabin, the bear attacks again, killing her by ripping out a breast implant in a brutal and shocking moment.

A news reporter, Whitney Cummings, appears on the scene to explain the grisly murders as the work of Butch, who supposedly dressed as a bear to carry out the killings before escaping. The film closes with a twist that recontextualizes the entire ordeal: Ranger Bob, it’s revealed, trained the bear to target those members of the group who hadn’t learned from their previous mistakes, turning the orchestrator of their downfall into the very source of the carnage.

In the end, what began as a desperate attempt at rehabilitation spirals into a calculated nightmare, where deception, revenge, and nature’s raw brutality collide in the forest’s shadow. The park’s serenity, once a backdrop for growth, becomes a deadly stage where every character’s flaws are laid bare, and the line between guardian and predator blurs in a chilling, inescapable finale.
