Four years after the events of the previous installment, Annie reveals to her family that she is expecting a child. Meanwhile, George narrates the trials he faces during her nine-month pregnancy, grappling with his growing anxiety about becoming a grandfather at his age. Stricken with panic, he tasks his assistant with compiling a list of individuals older than him, dyes his hair brown, and ultimately decides, after a roof leak, that he and Nina should sell the house where their children were raised, should any further issues arise.

Just two weeks later, termites invade their home, prompting George to sell it to the Habibs without consulting Nina. During dinner, amidst a discussion about whether the baby’s surname will be hyphenated, George abruptly shifts the conversation to reveal that the house has been sold. Nina is outraged, as they have a mere ten days to vacate without any alternative arrangements in place. They end up staying in the mansion of Bryan’s parents, John and Joanna MacKenzie, who are cruising in the Caribbean. George finds himself dealing with the MacKenzies’ Dobermans, which only heightens his anxiety due to a past incident with them. Complicating matters further, Nina experiences unexpected symptoms that lead to the shocking revelation: she is pregnant too.

After this surprising news, they encounter Franck, their former wedding planner, who is thrilled at the thought of both women expecting. On their way home, George and Nina have differing outlooks on becoming parents once more. George’s feelings take a turn as he now believes he might be too old to be a father again, leading to a confrontation at Annie and Bryan’s house when they go to share their news. Nina calls out George’s insensitivity, ultimately telling him not to return home that evening.

While taking a walk, George is struck with dismay when he sees a demolition crew with a wrecking ball poised to tear down their old house—leading him to infer that Mr. Habib intends to demolish it. Distressed, he rushes in to stop them, appealing to Mr. Habib for a chance to save the house, emphasizing its sentimental value as he anticipates becoming a father again. Upon offering to buy it back, Habib is willing to agree, but only if George pays him $100,000 upfront. Reluctantly, George acquiesces and he and Nina move back in.

In the meantime, Annie shows up at the Banks’ house following a spat with Bryan. She is offered a tremendous job opportunity in Boston, but Bryan believes that relocating so far is unwise with their baby on the way. Despite his reluctance over the situation, George encourages Annie to seize the job opportunity. Bryan later apologizes and concurs to accompany Annie to Boston.

In preparation for the upcoming arrivals, George enlists Franck to organize a dual baby shower. A few weeks before the due date, Bryan receives an emergency meeting summons to Japan, leaving Annie in George and Nina’s care. As both Nina and Annie navigate their simultaneous pregnancies, they require constant attention from George. With Bryan away, Matty and Franck step in to help manage the chaos. Franck takes it upon himself to transform George and Nina’s baby’s nursery into an extravagant “baby’s suite,” which spirals into a major renovation project. All the stress and sleepless nights take a toll on George, leading Franck to offer him “Vatsnik,” sleeping pills from his homeland, after George admits he hasn’t been sleeping well. Taking two proves excessive, resulting in him passing out before dinner, heightening the family’s concern, especially when Annie goes into labor.

Franck assumes the role of chauffeur, whisking the family to the hospital while managing a barely conscious George in tow. After a comical mix-up where he is mistaken for a patient needing an exam, he regains his senses just as Nina goes into labor. Initially skeptical about the young obstetrician filling in due to their regular doctor’s unavailability, George learns to trust her experience as she reassures him of her successful deliveries. Bryan soon returns to support Annie, who gives birth to a boy named George, while Nina welcomes a girl named Megan. Overjoyed, George holds the newborns in his arms, concluding his narration just as Bryan, Annie, and baby George prepare to embark on their journey to Boston.
