Eliminators

After completing a time-travel scouting mission, the Mandroid presents a Roman shield to his master Abbot Reeves. Reeves immediately orders the Mandroid dismantled, declaring that he must be killed. The tension sets up a fatal confrontation that frames the mission to come.

Takada tries to help the Mandroid escape from Reeves' facility, but he dies during the attempt. Before dying, he urges the Mandroid to seek scientist Col. Nora Hunter to help stop Reeves' plan. The betrayal sets the Mandroid on a path toward rebuilding his strength.

In the United States, the Mandroid reveals his nature to scientist Col. Nora Hunter. She had believed Reeves was dead and recognizes her Mars probe designs in the Mandroid. She repairs the damage from his escape, reviving him.

The Mandroid plans to stop Reeves; Hunter insists on accompanying him as his mechanic. She brings along S.P.O.T., her own flying scout robot, to help on their mission.

In Mexico, Hunter hires river boat captain Harry Fontana in a seedy bar to guide them down the river. The crew heads toward Reeves' network, relying on Fontana's knowledge of the dangerous water routes.

On the river, they clash with Reeves' men and rival captains. They eventually locate the Mandroid's crashed plane after an encounter with cavemen Reeves has transported to this era. The discovery deepens the danger and cements the group's resolve.

They meet Kuji, Takada's ninja son, who has come to find his father. The Mandroid informs him that Takada is dead, killed by Reeves. Kuji chooses to join the group and fight Reeves.

The group storms Reeves' headquarters, but Reeves proves to be a more advanced cyborg. He captures them, displaying a body designed to resemble Roman armor. The confrontation escalates as Reeves reveals his power and plan.

Reeves reveals his ambition to travel back to ancient Rome and seize power as Caesar. The Mandroid's party braces for a decisive showdown to stop the plan before it comes to pass.

The Mandroid engages Reeves in combat but is quickly defeated. In a final act, he sacrifices his life to free the others and ensure their escape from the fortress.

The remaining group pursues Reeves to his laboratory and watches him escape into the time machine toward ancient Rome. They are unable to prevent the travel, but the chase narrows the gap between past and present.

Fontana smashes the laboratory's control panel, causing the time machine to overshoot its target date and maroon Reeves hundreds of millions of years in the past. The group realizes their mission to stop him has been thwarted, at least for now.
