Don't Let Go

The film opens with Ashley Radcliff calling her uncle Jack, a detective, after being forgotten at the movies by her father. She is understandably distressed, prompting Jack to quickly come to her aid and take her to a diner for a meal together.

While at the diner, Jack and Ashley discuss her father, Garret, who is struggling with his life choices as an aspiring musician turned drug dealer. They both express disappointment in Garret, leading Jack to make a promise to help him improve.

The next day, Ashley calls Jack to report that her father seems to be making real efforts to turn his life around after Jack's talk. However, the initial hope is shattered when her progress is cut short.
