During a cricket tournament in the Middle East, India’s leading cricketer, Viraj Sharma (Saqib Saleem), mysteriously vanishes. Indian authorities receive a disturbing video from an unidentified Pakistani fan who claims to have kidnapped Viraj until the India vs. Pakistan match scheduled for two days later, warning officials against canceling the event. To prevent widespread panic, the government keeps this alarming news hidden from the media, dispatching Kabir Shergill (John Abraham), a determined police officer, to the U.A.E for a critical 36-hour manhunt.
Kabir, known for his no-nonsense attitude, crosses paths with Junaid Ansari (Varun Dhawan), an inexperienced rookie officer who possesses a good grasp of the local terrain but has yet to solve a case. Together, they embark on their investigation by examining CCTV footage from Viraj’s hotel, discovering that he had left with an enigmatic girl, played by Nargis Fakhri. When they confront her, she reveals that she took Viraj to a friend’s party, but he left prematurely.
As they navigate through the city in search of answers, they meet a local goon, Mickey ([Vijay Raaz]), who informs them that a pickpocket stole Viraj’s wallet after the party. The goon then points them toward a gay playboy, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, who had met Viraj at the same gathering. Unfortunately, this lead turns out to be fruitless.
The investigation takes a promising turn when they trace Viraj’s cellphone to a pickpocket named Ishika ([Jacqueline Fernandez]), who claims to have taken it from a stranger. They manage to capture the individual featured in the video, but ultimately find out that he is merely a struggling actor used by the real abductor for the purposes of intimidation.
It soon becomes clear that the true kidnapper is a cricket bookie named Wagah ([Akshaye Khanna]), who, alongside his assistant Altaf ([Rahul Dev]), has taken Viraj hostage, coercing him with an offer of 50 Crore rupees to deliberately underperform in the final match. When Viraj attempts to reach out to a cop—unbeknownst to him that it is Wagah himself—he is captured and held until the match concludes.
The UAE police identify Altaf’s location in Abu Dhabi but are unable to chase him down. As a result, Kabir resolves to pursue Altaf on his own, with Junaid and Ishika joining him. Their quest leads them to an underground club teeming with thugs and weapons. During a confrontation, Kabir spots Altaf, and they both engage in a frantic chase. However, before they can apprehend him, a sniper steps in, eliminating Altaf. Wagah contacts Kabir to take responsibility for Altaf’s death and ominously advises him to cease his search for Viraj.
Upon returning to Abu Dhabi, Kabir and Junaid are relieved of their duties and ordered to return to India. Earlier, Junaid had received ridicule for failing to locate a missing dog, but during his pursuit of Altaf, he miraculously finds the pooch and brings it back to his department. To everyone’s surprise, the dog belongs to Wagah, and Junaid had cleverly attached a hidden camera to track it. This leads them to footage revealing the location where Wagah has concealed Viraj, which is on a yacht near the team hotel.
When they arrive, they discover that Wagah has already fled, leaving Viraj bound to a time bomb. With only minutes to spare before detonation, Kabir negotiates with Wagah for the bomb’s deactivation in exchange for 5 billion rupees from the Indian government. Wagah accepts the money but defiantly refuses to halt the countdown. After witnessing the explosion from a distance, Wagah strides into the cricket stadium, confident that the match will proceed without Viraj. To his astonishment, Viraj emerges, fully prepared to play, as Kabir and Junaid had cleverly aided him in escaping by dislocating his shoulder and diving into the water just moments before the blast.
In the aftermath of Wagah’s thwarted plans, he attempts to flee but is apprehended by Kabir and Junaid. Kabir returns to India with Ishika, while Junaid receives a marriage proposal from Muskaan ([Parineeti Chopra]), choosing to fly to India to meet her.
