Dr. Iqbal Ansari, an ISI agent, is detained amid violent riots, and a hard-edged mission begins. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Shrikant Naidu (Additional Commissioner of Police), pulls together a five-person team to spirit Ansari from Chandangarh to Mumbai. The core crew comprises DCP Anant Kumar Srivastav, Senior Inspector Shekhar Verma, Sub-Inspector Ashwin Gupte, and the two constables, Kamlesh Sawant and Gajanan Mhatre. Together, they move with a cautious cadence, aware that every mile could bring a new threat.

Trailing them is a single-minded pursuer: the ruthless ex-cop turned criminal, Yashwant Aangre. As the convoy pushes toward Mumbai, they reach Chandangarh where they encounter the unassuming schoolteacher Mahalakshmi. She hints at hidden terrorists who have stayed undercover on her school grounds, and her warning adds a layer of unease to an already perilous journey. With Mahalakshmi aboard, the group presses onward along the treacherous road, hoping to reach safety before Aangre closes the net.

The route becomes a stage for shifting loyalties and raw nerve. Aangre presses to derail the mission, and the team is forced to improvise as the van falters and stalls in a secluded bungalow. A critical phone call to Naidu draws in more police reinforcements, heightening the sense of a chess match where every move could be a trap. It’s here that Anant Kumar Srivastav recollects a troubling history: Aangre is a corrupt and dangerous former officer who was jailed after Ansari caught him orchestrating a deadly fake encounter during a bank robbery. The memory fuels Anant’s resolve to see the mission through, even as the danger mounts.

The bungalow becomes a battleground when Aangre and his men assault the building. A tense moment unfolds as Shekhar contemplates surrendering Ansari to the attackers, but Anant objects, insisting on keeping Ansari under guard. Ansari explains a larger conspiracy: the communal riots were engineered by minister Deodhar, who used a web of corruption to cover their tracks. A journalist, Bhaskar Joshi, had uncovered an explosive file and sought Ansari’s post-mortem reports to expose the truth, but Bhaskar was killed. The truth begins to surface—Ansari was not the traitor he’s been made out to be; he’s a victim of a system that favored corrupt power. The team fights their way free after a blast, but Ansari is shot by Aangre, intensifying the plot’s moral urgency. Anant also realizes that Naidu is complicit with Deodhar and Aangre.

With Ansari gravely injured, the unit chooses to press on rather than abandon him. The plan becomes a daring escape: an empty train to Mumbai, with Ansari in tow, becomes their lifeline. Kamlesh drives a decoy van, while Shekhar takes control of the train’s operations from the inside. The escape is costly—the decoy van is abandoned, and Kamlesh is fatally shot by Aangre while attempting to secure the moving train. The team grieves a hard loss as they carry Ansari toward what they hope will be justice.

Back in Mumbai, the grim reality deepens—the hospital cannot save Ansari, and the team buries him with honor. Yet the fight is far from over. Naidu presses his corrupt agenda, but Anant refuses to compromise. The team tracks the missing file through journalist Bhaskar’s son and recovers it with the help of Mahalakshmi, whose loyalty becomes a complicated thread in the weave of justice. Shekhar and Mahalakshmi reach the General Post Office to retrieve the crucial file, but Aangre ambushes them. In a brutal twist, Mahalakshmi is revealed to be Aangre’s girlfriend and a planted informer, used to locate the police. Shekhar is wounded as the truth comes to light, and before he falls, he manages to dial Anant and reveal the treachery—before he dies, he places the crucial call, turning the tide of the investigation.

Following Shekhar’s death, Anant and Ashwin close in on Naidu and cut through the web of deceit. They chase Aangre by following Mahalakshmi, leading to a final, fatal confrontation. In a decisive shootout, Aangre uses Mahalakshmi as a shield and loses her life. Anant pursues the criminal into a high-stakes pursuit that culminates in a dramatic capture of Aangre, with Ashwin recovering the vital file and a police force closing in.

The courtroom verdict arrives with hard-won clarity: Aangre, Deodhar, and Naidu are convicted for life, a victory that finally clears Ansari’s name and grants his family a measure of peace. Anant promises to care for Ansari’s son, ensuring the truth endures. On the return journey, Aangre, already wounded, makes one last attempt to escape, only to be shot by Ashwin. The bolts that held his handcuffs loosened earlier become a stark symbol of payback—the screws reveal a setup for an encounter, a grim reminder of the cost of corruption. Aangre succumbs to his wounds, and the long arc of the case closes with justice served, even as the scars of the mission linger.
