Anjali Chauhan, from a wealthy family, grows close to Dev Chopra, a poor but devoted lover. Narendra Chauhan fixes her wedding plans and agrees to meet Dev, but he disapproves of Dev's appearance and attitude. Dev openly warns that he will take Anjali away if he does not get consent, while Anjali promises to meet him later.

Dev discovers Ram has taken heavy loans for a new project and buys the debt on the market, then purchases Ram's house at auction. In league with Vibha, Nikki and Bobby, Dev pushes Ram out of his company, forcing the couple to live with their servants.

Narendra discovers Dev's conspiracy and confronts him, reminding him that his earlier attitude toward Anjali was wrong and remains so. The confrontation underscores the stakes for Anjali's future and the consequences of Dev's actions.

Dev agrees to marry his business partner Sheetal Verma, who has long loved him, and departs with her to London.
