In August 1994, the narrative begins at the Tarasco bar in Mexico, where an American recounts a horrifying massacre he witnessed. The seemingly uninterested crowd suddenly pays attention when he mentions the name 'Bucho,' stirring a sense of dread among the patrons.

At the same moment, El Mariachi, played by Antonio Banderas, experiences a distressing dream about Moco, a brutal enforcer who killed his lover. This dream serves as a painful reminder of his past traumas and propels him toward confronting Bucho.

As El Mariachi travels through the streets, he encounters a young boy whose father is a guitarist. He offers the boy some advice, reflecting his deeper connection to music and the rhythm of life, even amidst the chaos surrounding him.

The tension at the Tarasco bar escalates into a raging gunfight when El Mariachi confronts Bucho's henchmen. This deadly clash leaves a trail of destruction as El Mariachi skillfully subdues his opponents in a bid for revenge.
