Darna Mana Hai

A group of seven friends drives through a forest at night and their car breaks down. They spot a distant house that looks abandoned, yet signs of life linger around its crumbling walls. To pass the darkness they light a bonfire and settle in for stories.

The friends gather around the bonfire and begin telling supernatural tales to pass the long night. Each story heightens the sense that something watches from the trees. The forest seems to listen as fear quietly settles over the group.

Story 1 unfolds: Karan and Anjali's car stalls on a forest road. Karan vanishes and Anjali finds his blood-splattered flashlight and a severed hand in a swamp wearing his watch. Karan sinks into the water, and a heavy stillness descends around the wrecked vehicle.

When the car is repaired, Karan appears alive and claims he heard Anjali screaming during the drowning. He says there was water in the swamp and smiles at Anjali from the rearview mirror, yet there is no reflection in the glass. Anjali clings to him in disbelief as fear gnaws at her.

Neha begs Romi to walk back to the car, but he refuses, not wanting to face Vikas. Mehnaaz returns to the car for a blanket and is pursued and stabbed by an unseen assailant. The group is unsettled as Suman glimpses a figure moving in the forest.

Story 2 unfolds at a haunted inn where smoking is forbidden. The owner warns of a cure for addiction and reveals a cellar full of corpses, claiming to have cured 70% while the rest are deemed incurable. Six months pass and Anil, now clean-shaven and working at the lodge, enforces the rule when a new guest lights up and is shot by Anil while the owner chuckles.

Back at the bonfire, the group absorbs the inn’s grim tale and Mehnaaz’s fate weighs on them. The tale threads into their own reality as fear thickens the night. The atmosphere tightens with each passing moment.

Story 3 follows Dayashankar, a schoolteacher, who confronts a pupil failing to complete homework. The girl doodles Om on every page, and Dayashankar suspects unseen help. Varun’s reincarnation is invoked, and Varun’s spirit warns him that he is not insane yet, but will be.

Amar searches for the missing girls and discovers Vikas in the car dead with a slash wound on his neck. He races back toward the others, only to be confronted in the forest by a new danger, heightening the peril for the group.

Gayatri buys apples from a market vendor at a suspiciously low price. The apples defy nature by reappearing in the fridge and her husband Sanjay savors one, convinced its taste is blessed. Soon the neighborhood descends into surreal horror as people turn into apples after eating them, with the vendor offering his last apple for free.

John Rodrigues stands by a graveyard along the highway and a young driver, Amar, offers him a ride. John reveals it’s a prank show, and Amar is the only one who doesn’t fear it. Suddenly, John’s camera lingers as Amar removes his sunglasses to reveal hollow eye sockets and vanishes, leaving John dead; the group wonders where the others have gone as a stranger arrives at the bonfire seeking another story.

Purab, a socially ostracized student, discovers a power to immobilize people by saying 'Stop!'. He experiments on Abhilasha and others, and Abhilasha agrees to date him, but a misstep in front of a mirror freezes him. His parents rush him to the hospital as the price of wielding fear becomes terrifyingly clear.

The newcomer returns to tell a final tale as the circle tightens. After each story, a traveler vanishes into the forest and is found dead. The killer proclaims fear blocks progress and reveals that Shruti and Suman’s friends are already dead.

The killer’s confidence falters as fear surfaces in Suman and he fatally stabs him. He advances toward Shruti, who has fled, but the police arrive too late to intervene. The killer’s menacing ultimatum leaves the fate of the survivors uncertain.

Shruti realizes she is looking at her own corpse as the killer points to a body. In a chilling finale, she becomes a ghost among her friends, while the killer proclaims there is nothing left to fear when everyone is dead, including himself. The film ends on a spectral note, with fear tethering the survivors no more.
