John Kattadi, Mohanlal, presides over Kattadi TMT Steel, a family business he inherited from his late father, Chacko Kattadi, who founded the company. His wife Annamma, [Meena], keeps the home steady, while their son Eesho John Kattadi, [Prithviraj Sukumaran], has carved out a name as a creative director at a prominent Bangalore advertising firm. Their long-time friend Kurian Malieakkal, [Lalu Alex], built himself up from modest roots to run his own advertising agency, and his wife Elsy, [Kaniha], is a devoted homemaker. Their daughter Anna, [Kalyani Priyadarshan], works in IT in Bangalore. Though both families are rooted in Kottayam, their lives are firmly planted in Kochi.

The two households converge at the wedding reception of Dr. Samuel’s daughter, a gathering that also features Dr. Cyril, [Unni Mukundan], the son-in-law who plans to build a nationwide maternity-hospital network. Kurian eyes the ad campaign opportunity to propel his business, while Eesho politely declines a joint venture with him. The families nudge their kids toward each other: Annamma and John weigh the idea of a match between Eesho and Anna, but Eesho points out a practical snag—Anna shares his mother’s name, which could cause confusion—and he jokes his way out of the suggestion. Elsy accepts the idea with a cautious nod, but Kurian resists, and Anna’s parents are left to weigh the possibility.

Back in Bangalore, Eesho and Anna reveal a deeper truth: they have been living together for years, and Anna is pregnant. The good news lifts the mood at home, but it also heightens the stakes as they confront how to tell their families. When John unexpectedly asks Eesho to visit Kerala, the trip becomes a tense test of honesty. At the ancestral home in Kottayam, where a baptism is planned for John’s brother’s child, Kurian and Elsy arrive unannounced, threatening to derail the fragile plan to come clean. Anna suggests a warm, patient approach with her father, but a clumsy spill—achar on Kurian’s clothes—stirs old resentments, and Kurian’s anger blooms.

Meanwhile, John’s mother understands the gravity and stands by Annamma, who confirms she is pregnant. After a series of failed attempts to reveal the truth, Eesho finally confronts John, and the shock lands hard on the family. John hatches a plan to sort things out without exposing Kurian to more pain, and he vows to secure Anna’s future by asking for her hand in marriage. Kurian, fearing feasibility without an heir, presses to keep Anna within his orbit through an arranged match in advertising—despite Anna’s agreement to another path. Cyril, meanwhile, works to keep Cyril’s collaboration with Kurian’s company alive through an impressive ad concept, which Cyril approves, helping to repair the rift.

As the truth gradually emerges, Kurian learns the devastating misunderstanding: Anna is not being dismissed or hidden—she is pregnant with Eesho’s child. The tension peaks when Eesho is confronted with the mistaken belief that his relationship could bring dishonor, but Anna stands by her partner, and the family supports this revelation. Kurian is heartbroken and cuts ties, yet time helps him reconcile with the reality, and he slowly forgives Anna for the deception. Eesho channels the upheaval into a compelling ad concept that Cyril greenlights, restoring trust and earning Kurian’s respect once more.

The wedding that follows is celebrated with all sides of the family in harmony. Kurian reveals that he is going to become a grandfather, while John candidly shares that he will not only be a grandfather again but a father to another child as well. The ceremony closes on a hopeful note, and the final image lingers on the hospital corridor: a nurse calls for Anna’s husband, and both John and Eesho pause, exchanging a look that speaks to the unexpected but enduring bonds of family.
