Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows

Makuta remains imprisoned in a crystal prison after the events of the previous film. A mysterious figure speaks Makuta's name, scratches the crystal, and withdraws a shard that begins the plan to free him.

The figure is Roodaka, queen of the Visorak horde. She implants the shard as a heartstone and vows to free Makuta, setting the plot in motion.

Vakama, a Turaga, narrates how the Toa Metru left Metru Nui after sealing Makuta with their elemental powers. In their absence, Metru Nui falls to the Visorak horde under Sidorak and Roodaka.

The Toa Metru arrive on the shore of Metru Nui and approach the Coliseum where Matoran are kept. They are ambushed by Visorak, captured, and brought to the Coliseum. Roodaka infuses them with Visorak venom and mutates them into beast-like Hordika.

Sidorak orders the Toa killed, but Norik leads six Rahaga to rescue them from death. Norik explains that Visorak venom mutates the Toa into Hordika unless neutralized, and that the hermit Keetongu may be their only hope.

Vakama grows angry at the situation and storms off to rescue the Matoran alone, only to be captured again. Roodaka seizes the moment, offering him leadership over the Visorak if he helps her rule Metru Nui.

The remaining Toa and the Rahaga travel to the Great Temple in Ga-Metru to seek clues to Keetongu's whereabouts. The hermit Rahi agrees to aid them, providing a glimmer of hope.

Keetongu pledges to help the Toa Metru. The party returns to the Coliseum to challenge the Visorak and restore balance, while Keetongu targets Sidorak and Roodaka.

Roodaka arrives and demands control over the Toa's elemental powers. Vakama and Matau confront her, exposing her treachery, and Vakama begins to turn the tide.

Vakama reveals his true loyalty and orders the Visorak to depart and be free, breaking Roodaka's grip on the battle.

Unaware that the heartstone is Makuta's prison, Vakama fires his spinner at it, breaking the seal and freeing Makuta. The Master of Shadows uses his powers to teleport the incapacitated Roodaka to safety.

Makuta vents his newfound freedom, while Norik watches, as Keetongu restores the Hordika to their original Toa Metru forms.

The Toa bid farewell to the Rahaga and depart Metru Nui with the Matoran, stepping into an uncertain future.

Turaga Vakama concludes the story to Takanuva, Jaller, and Hahli after the events of the first film, and tells them that they must discover their own destinies.
