Radha, Badri's adopted daughter and Siddharth's childhood friend, watches her love marry another. Her heartache deepens as she remains close to the family but excluded from Siddharth's new life. The tension over unrequited love foreshadows trouble in the palace.

Avni becomes captivated by the palace's legend of Manjulika and the tragic history surrounding her. She probes the archives and speaks with locals to understand the ghost's motivation. This curiosity begins to blur the line between belief and fear in the household.

Decades earlier, Maharaja Vibhuti Narayan fell for Manjulika, who loved Shashidhar. In a fit of rage, the king beheaded Shashidhar and imprisoned Manjulika to force a marriage. Angered, Manjulika cursed the royal line and later hanged herself, while the king died under mysterious circumstances. Powerful priests sealed her spirit on the third floor of the palace.

Avni obtains a duplicate key and unlocks the third floor, breaking Manjulika's confinement. Immediately, unnerving presences and a spectral vision begin to manifest in the palace corridors. The household grows frightened as the ghost seems to target Radha and destabilize the family.

Siddharth suspects Radha's behavior may be linked to mental instability after the disturbing events. He brings in Aditya Shrivastava, a psychiatrist, whose unconventional methods divide the household. Trust wavers as fear and accusations spread.

During Nandini's engagement to poet Sharad Pradhan, Avni accuses Sharad of sexual harassment. Aditya explains to Siddharth that Avni's allegations come from dissociative identity disorder rather than fact. The truth about Avni's condition becomes clearer but remains unsettling.

Badri summons the renowned exorcist Yagyaprakash Bharti to purge the haunting. It is revealed that Aditya was Bharti's disciple long ago, complicating loyalties and strategies. The pair orchestrate a plan to handle Manjulika's spirit from a psychiatric angle.

On Durgashtami, Avni, as Manjulika, performs the dance and is told to leave only if she kills the King. Siddharth is envisioned as the King, but Yagyaprakash and Aditya trick her into killing a dummy instead. The staged act aims to purge Manjulika by fulfilling her revenge without real bloodshed.
