Bairavaa (2017) Timeline Explained – Every Event in Order

PK spares Malar because a judge ruled that she cannot be expelled from college and must be protected until her case against him is resolved. PK outwardly respects the judge's decision, but he harasses her through college staff and plans to eliminate her once the verdict favors him. The court order creates a legal barrier that forces PK to use indirect methods rather than direct assassination.

Foreshadowing: Earlier, PK's call to spare Malar at the bus station hints at his calculated approach to handling legal obstacles.

Foreshadowing: The college's deplorable condition is established early, showing why MCI intervention became necessary.

Kottai Veeran decides to side with Bairavaa after two key events: his wife dies, leaving him emotionally vulnerable, and Bairavaa exploits PK's callous reaction at the funeral by switching PK's asthma inhaler with nitrous oxide. When PK laughs uncontrollably at the funeral, Veeran sees this as a final betrayal of his family and agrees to become an approver against PK.

Malar hands over video proof of Vaishali's sexual assault to Charan at the wedding. Charan has access to the National Informatics Centre (NIC), which can help probe and verify the footage. This evidence is crucial because it directly links PK to Vaishali's death, but PK's henchmen attack Charan to prevent the investigation.

Foreshadowing: Malar's earlier determination to fight PK hints at her possession of such evidence.
