Hunt to Kill

Jim Rhodes and his partner Lee Davis stake out what looks like an empty trailer along the Texas border. Lee gives Jim a watch with a rope band that can be unraveled in an emergency. They decide to move in to investigate the site together.

Inside the trailer they find a meth lab. Two men climb up from a door built into the floor and open fire, killing Lee. Jim fights back, killing the two men, while a third shooter appears from under the trailer and sets the structure on fire. Jim escapes as the trailer explodes, convinced Lee is dead.

Four years after the incident, Jim and his rebellious teenage daughter Kim live in the mountains of Lowery, Montana. Jim works to keep Kim safe while she tests boundaries and dreams of a different life. The memory of Lee and the risk they faced before weighs on them both.

Lawson and his crew rob the Hotel Palacio casino in Reno, stealing bearer bonds. Banks diffuses a potential threat and uses a tracking device to predict Lawson's path as the thieves plan their next move. The criminals vow to locate Lawson and reclaim the bonds.

Jim travels to Sheriff Westlake's Montana office after a call about Kim's shoplifting, only to find Banks and his crew overpowering the sheriff. Banks claims Lawson is in Montana and forces Jim to guide them through the mountains. Banks kills Westlake to cement his control.

Banks abducts Kim to pressure Jim into guiding the group through the Montana backcountry. He warns that Kim's life depends on Jim's cooperation. The dangerous trek through the mountains begins.

During the trek, Crab attempts to rape Kim, and Jim fights him off, breaking several of Crab's bones. Banks then fatally shoots Crab to remove a further obstacle and keep the group moving. The violence escalates as the pursuit continues.

Jim and Banks locate Lawson guarding the money. Dominika fatally shoots Lawson, removing the obstacle; Banks then pushes Jim off a cliff, leaving him for dead as the search for the bonds continues. Banks seizes the bonds and Kim and presses on.

Jim survives the fall in the rugged terrain and begins improvising as a hunter, carving wooden spears and discovering a crossbow in an abandoned bag. He uses these weapons to start tracking Banks's crew through the hostile landscape.

Geary, wounded, reveals that Banks has taken over the plan to move into Canada and urges Jim not to shoot again. Jim persists, and he shoots Geary, ending the threat he posed. The pursuit continues with Jim determined to stop Banks.

Jim tracks down Jensen, a martial arts expert, and defeats him in a brutal fight using a broken tree branch, ultimately killing him. With Jensen eliminated, Banks grows more desperate and changes tactics. The hunt continues toward the Canadian border.

Dominika uses a rope to restrain Kim and keep up the chase, while Banks presses the group to move toward the border. Jim speeds up and hurls a wooden spear that hits Dominika, killing her and freeing Kim.

Banks reaches an outpost with three Canadian cops and three ATVs, killing the officers and taking off on an ATV with Kim. Jim finds Kim and urges her to go for help while he pursues Banks through the border region.

Jim chases Banks into an abandoned factory where they duel with improvised weapons. Banks fires a flare gun and fights with shovels; Jim shoves Banks down onto a pile of wooden skids, knocking him out. Jim triggers a flare to ignite leaking fuel, causing an explosion that kills Banks.

Jim retrieves the bonds and returns them to their rightful owners. Kim is glad they survived, and the two begin a long walk home through the wilderness, bound by their ordeal and a renewed bond.
