Arjun's family from Suryapet, Telangana, travels to Ashokapuram in Andhra Pradesh for the arranged engagement with Madhavi. The meeting brings the two families together as they pursue a match for their children. Madhavi is reserved while her younger sister Vasudha stands out as more talkative.

During the pre-wedding shoot, Arjun notices Madhavi with tears in her eyes, hinting at inner conflict. The moment foreshadows the emotional complexities behind the arranged match. The families continue with the engagement despite signs of doubt.

The bus carrying the engagement party breaks down, forcing everyone to stay on in the same house for days. Soon after, a government lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic prevents any attempt to return home. The extended stay deepens bonds and frictions alike.

Arjun drops his mobile number, and Madhavi chats with him on WhatsApp, which makes him happy. A misunderstanding arises when he believes Madhavi is the one texting him, while it is Vasudha who has been messaging. This mix-up fuels tension between the prospective couple.

Although the elders push for advancing the marriage, Arjun asks for time to decide. He wants space to understand Madhavi's feelings and the situation. The request buys time but also seeds doubt in the arrangements.

Vasudha discovers Madhavi is in love with another guy and that their parents forced the engagement. She works to patch up the misunderstanding and arranges a conversation, letting Madhavi speak to Arjun. Madhavi apologizes, and Arjun agrees to consider the wedding.

On the road, MLA Rajaram and the police order the families back to Madhavi's house due to ongoing COVID restrictions. Volunteers are instructed to obtain a daily signature until the lockdown is lifted, intensifying the dispute between families.

Arjun sinks into frustration, drinking with relatives and blasting the elders for creating rifts. Vasudha comforts him, then questions whether she would have married a more ordinary man like him. The moment deepens their complicated relationship.

Arjun's pregnant sister Vidya Sivalenka is admitted to a hospital. Vasudha helps with travel and provisions for the hospital stay. In a market confrontation, Arjun saves Vasudha from trouble, and she admits that she likes him.

When the sister asks about marriage, Vasudha says she needs at least three more years due to debts and responsibilities. Frustrated, Arjun looks at matrimonial photos and agrees to consider options, but Vasudha warns him to look at the right girl before deciding. The tension underlines the waiting period.

Arjun realizes Vasudha is the right match and stops the car on the road to tell his parents he wants to marry her and is willing to wait. He returns to the village to pursue Vasudha, who becomes receptive to his proposal.
