Winter in Vail

Chelsea Whitmore, Lacey Chabert, is a Los Angeles–based event planner who, after missing out yet again on an anticipated Vice President promotion, decides to quit her job and move to Vail, Colorado. There, she unexpectedly inherits her late uncle Grady’s chalet, a home steeped in warmth and memories of a renowned pastry chef famous for his apple strudel. Chelsea had grown distant from Grady as her career climbed, but the chalet’s arrival rekindles a sense of connection to family and to a place she’s only just beginning to explore.

Chelsea soon learns the house needs urgent repairs and hires a local contractor, Owen Becker, Tyler Hynes, to help with the remodel. Owen, who once pursued a brighter architecture career before choosing to stay and help his father, guides Chelsea through the town’s scenic spots and teaches her the value of small-town life. His devotion to family and craft helps Chelsea see a different path for herself, one that blends ambition with a slower, more meaningful pace of living. Together they explore the village’s charms, from sunlit peaks to cozy, candlelit eateries, and Chelsea’s appreciation for the local way of life deepens.

When Chelsea uncovers her uncle’s original apple strudel recipe, she manages to recreate the dish, reigniting the restaurant’s allure. To generate buzz, she launches Strudelfest, a celebration that brings locals and visitors back to the heart of the Bavarian-inspired town. Just as Chelsea begins to settle in, Vienna North, Marla Renae, arrives with her boss, Trish Simmons, Constance Marie, bearing a tempting pull back to Los Angeles: a Vice President position that could finally fulfill the long-held career goals Chelsea has chased for years.
