Aspiring pop star Erica Wilson’s dreams come crashing down when her musical partner and producer fails to show up for his album release party, a pivotal moment that was meant to launch her career. In a state of despair, Erica is found in tears alongside her best friend Amber, as the haunting sounds of buskers performing “No One” by Alicia Keys fill the air. This song serves as a painful reminder of her past when her ex-fiancé, Jason King, abruptly ended their four-year relationship just days before their wedding. Overcome with emotion, Erica loses composure as she recalls how this song was supposed to accompany their first dance.

Determined to lift her friend out of her emotional turmoil, Amber, a savvy social media influencer, decides to take charge by securing Erica a gig as an entertainer at a luxurious resort located in Mauritius. Initially, Erica hesitates to embrace this opportunity, but with a little persuasive encouragement, she ultimately accepts the job offer.

Upon her arrival at the resort, Erica meets Barrington, T.J. Power, the multi-talented resort staff member who also doubles as her bandmate. She arrives full of hope that this beautiful island will provide the escape she yearns for; however, her excitement diminishes rapidly when she learns that she’s been hired as a wedding singer. During her first performance, she falters and questions her talent, leading her to doubt whether she can maintain her position. Fortunately, Barrington offers her invaluable advice, urging her to perform something that brings her joy. This leads to a joyful montage of Erica belting out Gloria Gaynor’s anthem “I Will Survive,” as she begins to find her footing and embrace the delights of island life.

Fate intervenes when Erica unexpectedly encounters Jason, and the shock reverberates through her as she realizes he is there for his upcoming wedding. Unwilling to confront her past head-on, she attempts to keep her distance from Jason as their paths intersect. As the story unfolds, Erica crosses paths with Caleb, a retired Navy SEAL who heroically saves her from a near-drowning incident. Interestingly, she soon discovers that Caleb is Jason’s brother, also present for the wedding festivities.

While mingling with the wedding party, Erica meets the bride-to-be, Beverly Christiani Pitts, who unknowingly considers Erica merely an old friend. This misunderstanding allows Erica to engage in various activities with the wedding entourage, particularly spending ample time with Caleb. The two of them bond, creating a burgeoning romance that begins to flourish.

As the morning of the wedding dawns, Beverly and Naomi, Jeryl Prescott, Jason and Caleb’s mother, spot Erica and Jason on the beach together. When Naomi reveals Erica’s history with Jason, panic ensues, prompting Beverly to flee the wedding in a van driven by Barrington. However, a swift resolution occurs when Erica manages to catch up with Beverly, explaining the circumstances surrounding her past. Their heartfelt conversation mends fences just in time for the wedding.

As the ceremony culminates, Beverly and Jason tie the knot, and during the reception, Erica performs “No One” by Alicia Keys. In a moment brimming with emotion, she acknowledges her newfound love for Caleb, sealing it with a passionate kiss at the conclusion of her song, marking a joyous turning point in her journey of healing and rediscovery.
