One ordinary day, while waiting in a market queue, Prani intervenes when a man tries to force a fellow queuer to let him cut in line. The moment is caught by a bystander and later posted online, where the clip shows Prani saying “Ah suwi,” a phrase that translates to “Too long” in Javanese. The video goes viral, but a wide audience misreads the moment and takes it as if she uttered the slur “Asu.” The unintended misinterpretation rises quickly into a viral spread that draws attention from the school administration and the public alike.

The school directorate responds with caution, acknowledging the misperception but worrying that Prani may have an anger issue that could affect the institution’s reputation. A psychotest is scheduled to evaluate her, and she responds by posting a clarifying message to help viewers understand the context, even as the director urges her to limit clarifications to those who ask about them directly. The online chatter intensifies when Muklas is pressed about his mother’s status; he states that Prani is not his mother, fueling further backlash against him and adding another layer of scrutiny to the family.

Meanwhile, the market’s original organizer posts a video criticizing Prani for exposing his identity online, which only amplifies tensions. The school administration warns against any action that could jeopardize the school’s standing, but the responses from former students begin to complicate the picture. Some share videos praising Prani’s disciplined approach as essential to their personal growth, while a clip featuring Gora recounting Prani’s instruction to “dig graves” becomes a trigger for renewed medical and psychiatric debate surrounding her methods.

Didit turns to his psychiatrist, Tunggul, for guidance; Tunggul [Nungki Kusumastuti] is also connected to Gora’s care, adding a professional layer to the public conversation. Tunggul delays the appointment so that Gora and Prani can speak directly, and Gora clarifies that his concerns are about finding a way to live with the reality of graveyards—an unusual but not inherently harmful line of inquiry. He does not consent to a public clarification, which keeps the situation tense and unsettled for Prani and their family.

Facing the mounting pressure, Prani makes the difficult decision to resign from her role as she and her family plot a move to Salatiga, where Didit plans to launch a new business venture. In a final moment of shared support, Prani’s former students gather to honor her, offering a heartfelt farewell as they accompany her and the family home. The story closes with a nuanced portrait of a teacher and mother whose professional life collides with social media scrutiny, mental health conversations, and the evolving definitions of public responsibility in a connected world.
