Raj Malhotra suffers an accident that fractures his leg, rendering him unable to walk for some time. Psychologically, he remains unable to walk even after the fracture heals, affecting his confidence and independence. His family moves to Guntur during this period, aiming to support his recovery.

Raj develops a friendship with Kajal, his energetic new neighbor who shares his passion for airplanes. Kajal encourages Raj to regain his ability to walk, providing him with emotional support and motivation. Their bond deepens over shared interests and time spent together.

With Kajal's encouragement and support, Raj gradually regains the ability to walk, overcoming the psychological barrier that had kept him from moving freely. This marks a significant turning point in his recovery and confidence.

Raj is recruited by Air India and begins a year and a half of intensive pilot training. His dedication to his goal demonstrates his commitment to flying and independence, setting the stage for his future career.

After completing his training, Raj rushes to propose his love to Kajal, only to learn she is in love with multimillionaire Karan Singhania. His surprise reveals his hidden feelings and deep affection for her, though he chooses to support her happiness.

Kajal and Karan Singhania get married, with a reception celebrating their union. During the celebration, Kajal learns about Raj's feelings for her, leading to feelings of regret and heartbreak for both parties.

Disappointed, Kajal asks Raj to move on. Raj relocates to the West Indies and South Africa for additional pilot training, while his family moves to Kottayam, marking a period of physical and emotional separation.

During a visit to a club, Raj meets Jiya, a lively and friendly woman who quickly falls in love with him due to his integrity and personality. However, Raj is still haunted by his feelings for Kajal.

After completing his training, Raj returns to India and finds Jiya living as a paying guest with his family in Nainital. Despite her efforts to impress him, Raj remains emotionally distant, still unable to forget Kajal.

Jiya's continued efforts lead Raj to finally agree to marry her, taking steps to move past his previous heartbreak. However, he remains unaware of her true relation to Kajal as her sister.

At the engagement, Raj learns that Jiya is the sister of Karan Singhania, the man Kajal loved and who tragically died in a helicopter crash. This revelation deepens emotional complexity for all involved, especially Kajal.

It is revealed that Kajal is widowed and survived Karan's helicopter crash, blaming herself for his death. She has even attempted suicide, and with Raj's help, begins to recover emotionally and face life again.

As Raj helps Kajal recover, their closeness grows. Jiya suggests arranging a second marriage for Kajal, recognizing her emotional needs and past trauma, which complicates existing relationships.

During Raj and Jiya's engagement, Kajal is also being arranged to get married. Raj insists she should not be married against her will, and a tense confrontation ensues about their feelings and commitments.

Jiya publicly declares her true intention to unite Raj and Kajal, participating in their wedding to inspire acceptance of their love. The film concludes with the couple's wedding, symbolizing their acceptance and new beginning.
